Blame Game

By Saggittarian | 21-Aug-2017

Whenever a horse ridden by top jockey fail, the game of blaming starts with many supporting and some against.

First of all we all should understand that the winner where the loser was was ridden by a top jockey is not paying infinite dividend, which actually means that the winner was fancied by a section.

The top jockey was not involved in the preparation of the horse in question, whether at all he knows the preparation is a big question mark.

Some even have the audacity of questioning the jockey for accepting the the losing ride, do they expect the rider in question to win all the mounts. Is it not his prerogative to earn his bread by accepting the ride irrespective of the outcome. Even if he is the retained by a prominent owner/stable he could make a mistake of choosing the wrong one due to lack of judgement. He is just a human being like all of us, are we not making mistakes and keep blaming someone else. Perhaps those who blame the jockey for accepting a ride, expect him to go and sell chana(lighter vein, no offense meant).

What do you think guys?

The state of affairs at Malakpet on jockeys front is alarming, most of them are greedy and passing signals. Since CCTV is not showing the jockeys movements fully, the punters based at this centre can form a group and monitor the leading jockeys thru binoculars. So next time if your are inside, take a binocular for your use. Please understand certain jockeys are FAVOURING CERTAIN GUYS/GROUPS/INSIDERS and allowing them to divert your money illegally. So watch them and identify their tricks and follow to your benefits also.

Mr. Mad Max,

I have already stated that the winning horses do not pay heavily when a favored horse of a top jockey fails meaning that the winner was also supported, making
it our judgement against the backers of winners.

Coming to Deepak Singh's antics, I think the trio of Ashad Asbar, Nitin Singh and
Sai Vamshi have gone out of favour at Hyderabad due to similar activities. If the trainer has noticed this, mark my words, he also may have to look for
greener pasture elsewhere.

Earlier, a jockey riding for Netto(N M Sequira) use to dangle his legs loose
without resting them on stirups to show that he is on job met similar fate.

My dear friends

jockeys are bit innocent people. They can not do anything on their own. They have to oblige as per the instructions given to them by their Trainer or Owner. If they disobey they will never ride any horse afterwards ! We always think that they have pulled or pushed etc., In practice they can not do any thing of their own and they are just employees of the Stable/Owner/Trainer. But they can refuse any mount other than their retained stable.

There exists a difference between Trevor and other jockeys. Trevor has reached a stage in which he need not depend on his riding fees. To lead a happy and joyful life you do not need a million in your hand. Even then by this time Trevor might have amazed more than crores with all his winnings.

What we are trying to impress upon him is he need not accept losing mounts and spoil his name and fall into the trap of the Book makers. If he is contented with his own retained stable/owner and accept only winning mount or mounts with chances of winning exists then he can maintain a Brand Image that if trevor takes a mount it must win. That is all we have nothing against him, He should not become a scape goat for Book Makers or vested interest. BY ACCEPTING TOO MANY MOUNTS FOR A PALTRY RIDING FEES HE SPOILS HIS NAME AS WELL AS HIS HEALTH.

Best regards to all

Most here just blame the jockey, without knowing any thing .

Gone are those days when top or any jockeys pull horses or had any agenda.

The sooner many realise here the better for them.

Taking your your frustatation on jockeys has been going on for years and will never stop.

It suits the race fixers and owners.

Your story has loopholes. The instinctive reaction of a person who has won a bet, would tell the amount he earned.

If you bet at BTC, you would have told your own winning dividend and not of hyderabad (which you could have seen on indiarace site.)

Secondly, your post just came after 1st race (regarding p treveor winning)

I dont think, who goes on to race course for serious gambling and watching paddock looks before betting would care to write an article while in race course.

Next time, develop a proper story line.....

You said.....Even if he is the retained by a prominent owner/stable he could make a mistake of choosing the wrong one due to lack of judgement.

My Comments:
Yes Champion Jockeys show lack of Judgement WHEN THE HORSE IS FAVOURITE.
Yes same Champion Jockeys show apt Judgement WHEN THE HORSES ARE LUCRATIVELY PLACED.

Yes same Jockeys pass on Positive signals to their people before winning.
Yes same Jockeys pass on Negative signals before losing.

Everywhere it is corruption. APNON KA JEB BHARO, DOSTON KA JEB BHARO.

Yesterday PHENOMENAL CRUISE WON at Hyderabad as unfancied. Jockey DEEPAK SINGH was restless throughout from Paddock Parade to Starting Stall and he was showing all those tricks to his supporters to back his horse. Yes I hate such jockeys passing signals. It paid Rs 53 for a fiver at Malakpet. I played it here in BTC.

I fully endorse your views because the rider has his limitations. I feel like laughing loudly whenever I get to read in this column that "Trevor should not accept losing mounts," or "he should not accept mounts in a centre like Mysuru". I used to think what's this?

Although I gave up racing about three years ago, let me tell you like betting is our prerogative, riding is a jockey's choice. He may sit on any available mount, no matter how good his rating has been. After all, he knows very well that his career is short-lived. Isn't it?

Take the case of P S Chouhan. He was the darling of punters till very recently (winning as he liked in Hyderabad and also getting prominent mounts elsewhere). But see his condition today. He is no more there in Hyd (it's quite a pity that an older foreign jockey R J Hannam has come to replace him!), and his performance in other centres is also below par.

One thing race-goers must clearly understand is that they are always at the receiving end, and the chalk-piece (these days bookies use marker pen in many centres I'm told!) can just decide your fate. Please tell me how many punters have the guts to play a horse, which keeps drifting in prices alarmingly in the ring.

Blaming the jockey, therefore, for a loss is absurd, according to me.
