What A Shocker Btc

By Roy | 22-Aug-2017

With new software and new ideas starting yesterday it was just shocking to see tote odds. Horses that were 40 and 50 to 1 for win were showing Rs.20 for place. A horse which showed Rs.1 for place after the race started pays Rs.19. This is not one example just one. Which country in the world does this type of manipulation.

This can be solved if BTC hs to show onthe DISPLAY 1. Total Collected 2. The tax
3. Club commission 4. Number of winning tickets 5. Divident for all Pools.

This will solve the problem.

Hi

There are no bookies in BTC and as such the tote payout will be very less, the amount collected for win is distributed equally among the winning tickets after GST and club commission are deducted.
If you play 1 lakh on fav in tote the prices will drop to 11 or 12 this is pure maths, why blame the BTC.

Initally the fav shoe Rs, 20-25 for win and after people backing this is further reduced to 14-15

@ Roy,

The win dividends for the first three favorites have been pathetic in BTC (Also other centers) and place dividends have been money back. So to boost the dividends, BTC has come up with this scheme where the total collection for place will be divided among the winning tickets. Only thing unclear is whether the software is built to do it on its own or a manual entry is needed. The good news is the first 3 favs will have better returns if they place, the bad news being a long-shot would have less payout than the older system.

I see no reason you crying foul. Earlier people were cribbing about low dividends post GST and even when the club is trying to boost, you are cribbing about it.

Hi Mr Roy,

It seems the wheel has come a full circle. Or how else we can explain the pathetic tote condition now prevailing in BTC?

There were days when people, including me, used to catch our trains to Bengaluru from neighbouring places, only to play in Tote. No other race-course in India offered healthy Tote returns like Bengaluru. But see their plight today. To blame it totally on GST is just trying to take advantage of the situation. Even if you calculate the tax, the returns now look incredible.

BTC owes an explanation to the punters, who have no second option in this centre. This looks like broad daylight robbery. You collect in lakhs for every race, and return in peanuts...that's too much.

Slowly tote counters will die down in Bengaluru as punters will start migrating to nearby centres. A day will come when there will be only 50 or 100 race-goers in this centre, who will be punching a combined JP and sitting in a corner. The writing on the wall is there for everyone to see. God save BTC.

Read an article by Sharan on the other racing site,
It is now-Rob Peter to pay Tom.
BTC is driving away the tote punter to hasten its Demise.
