MRC is starting their regular season from tomorrow, I was also contemplating to return with my ONE RACE analysis, especially on feature event. The Class-I race of the day is The Ranga Family Cup, so I pick the race for psychoanalysis.

1. DOWNTON ABBEY:
Purely a Sprinter, cannot consider for 1400m. Hence ignored.

2. SAVANNAH SOUND:
Vastly improved horse, this 7 yrs old mare is blazing the track, but giving lot of weight to 4 year olds LONDON & SCRIPT WRITER, hence ignored.

3. NAVAL GLORY:
Promoted, last win was poor, hence ignored.

4. LONDON:
Four year old London's best run was in Malakpet 2000 Guineas, where he finished short head 2nd to Germanicus on level form. Always under Malesh Narredu, tried his best to win a race thereafter, unfortunately his loss of form and failure in Pune Race No.7 over the present distance as a favourite and going down to Traheme was pathetic. In the same race Germanicus carried 6 kgs more and ended 3-1/4 lengths ahead of London. Since then Malesh Narredu and the Mistrys have decided to send the horse to Mysore under the care of Michael Eshwar. No track work visible anywhere. However, his last run was just around one months back, cannot trust the owners, they are famous for IN & OUT runnings so I give him benefit of doubt. He may be fancied but roughly need this run, maximum he may grab the runner-up berth.

5. INTEGRATED:
During Bangalore summer two runs, both times fairly fancied, but given easy runs and finished out of the board. I consider him a contender for this trophy and expect a decent run from him, because he carried (60kg) and beaten Rafa (54kg) by 1-1/2 lengths in the winter, and Rafa won a Class-I race over 1400m in Bangalore Summer R.No.170 and now at Rating of 92. Rafa's conqueror Integrated is rated 84, hence a win is due. The track works are ordinary, but he has the class to deliver and beat LONDON.

6. MURCILAGO:
A sprinter upto 1200m , out of form, ignored.

7. SCRIPT WRITER:
4 year old filly SW has some good performance in Mysore winter, somehow she has not shown that form in Summer. Secondly the track preparation is also not visible, it is really surprising what happened to this horse? It looks like Arshad Alam is also taking his profession lightly at this young age, shockingly his body weight also gone up and now giving company to Srinath and John.
