Mysore Racing.....???

By S Bomanjee | 25-Aug-2017

Friend's,

Kindly look into these few point's / issues and give your opinion.

1. Why are horses leaving the paddock 15 to 18 minutes early for starting gates ?
2. Why are horses arriving at the starting gate nearly 10 to 12 minutes before the start of the race ???
3. Why are jockey's dis-mounting in each and every race and sitting near draw no: 1
4. MOST IMPORTANT : Why are officials mingling with jockeys freely, especially favorites horses jockeys ??? Is this allowed ??? Vetenary Dr O K.
5. It has become a picnic site lunch scene.
6. This is happening since a very long time.
7. Do rules permit these 4 to 5 officials in suit's and boot's to inter-mingle with jockeys ???
8. After mingling with the jockey's, some officials leave the spot. ( To send messages on the race to other's ????? to mint money ????? )

---Punter's demand that horses should not reach starting gates so early.
2 or 3 minutes is sufficient.

---Punter's demand jockey's do not dis-mount their mounts, except in justifiable rare cases.

---Punter's demand jockey's should not mingle with officials, except the vet, or only when necessary.

---Punter's demand officials not to mingle with jockey's without proper reasons.

---Punter's demand officials to stay far from the starting gates.

This scene of a picnic lunch is not witnessed in other racing center's.

This is all required in the interest for free and fair racing.

Exactly ! Recently one guys - may be Shaps - raised this issue, but no one responded. Actually I was contemplating to write an article on this.

This type of tamashas never staged in RWITC earlier. But they are also succumbing to the pressure of some group (TAI) eventually few races delayed by more than five minutes. Jockeys are getting down from horses, group around starting stalls, are allowed to speak each other. Even jockeys are talking to starters, vet.doctors, handlers etc. There is this possibility the jockeys are passing the outcome of the race in advance.

In the interest fair racing this should not be allowed at any cost. The best way is do not send horses early to starting stalls. The horses should reach the starting stalls only 3 to 4 minutes before stalling, and as soon as they reached, stalling should start.
