Palatial is very well placed in this cup race to win and oblige the punters.It is a small field of six runners but will be keenly contested and a thrilling race is on the card,but one can not look beyond Palatial.

Some times we get influenced by jockeys rather than merit of horses.
So I want your views and chances without actually knowing jockys in this race.Kindly post before the jockies are announced.
If u still like a particular horse after jockies are announced and that jockey also happens to be good enough to trust ,that will be a added bonus.
Or will you drop your choice bcz the jockey is not good or to your likeing?
1) Severus : The best rated horse but without run benefit . Not run since 8 months. Tracking well but in my opinion needs this run.
2)Winter Renassainc : Not much chance here irrespective of jockey.
3)Silver Beauty :-------------"""""------------------------- nor the workout encouraging.
4)Multi Glory : Has all the merit to win ,has run in much better co. and has given a run in July and did nothing but completing the course last in 1400 mt race
Runs with a good chance if the trainer is serious.
5)Palatial :6 year old consistent performer ,already had 2 runs at Pune this season. Lost narrowly last Time at 1800 mts race shifting under pressure at 200 mts.
6)Me Kong Delta :4 year old ,Had a run in the same race with Palatial finishing a snk ahead of Palatial inspite of interference.
Me Kong has not won a race since last 16 months.
Palatial is placed advantegeouly in wts and giving better track.
My personal choice is Palatial but age compared to Mekong is some concern.
Let's see HTers go by horse or jockey or they need both to choose their winners.

The race is an open race where there is no clear favourite as per the runners, though the bookie can fool us by opening a clear favourite (may be based on some inside information.) As per me, the race is between MD and WR.

Vishnu - the result can come in favor or against - but I followed a fixed way of making a decision as to where to put the money - just followed a method/pattern of study!

I had opened a thread for this race on 23 Rd Aug itself and had clearly selected Palatial as winner.
I was also 1st to respond to this thread and again clearly mentioned Palatial is the winner. Also under Pune selections I had given reasons why Palatial will win.

Much needed breather got from Palatial win bet, although a small token bet and first winning bet after march 2016.
Thanks GG your timely post gave me enough confidence not to get confused and change the decession in the ring which i am use to do in the ring from last 1 year or so.

Buddy you are right that most of the time one should bet on the younger horse.When the owner takes a chance with his older horse in a cup race,knowing well that the horse has to cross the sword with the youngsters,we should,after calculating all the parameters,if find the horse can do it,must bet on it.In another race today,Alaindair(7 years old)won beating the youngsters.

Ment 'giving 1 or 2 yrs to all' - result is out and I am Glad ur horse won - I did not look into the race and I still feel one should avoid going against younger horse's that's how I felt while betting ......most of the Time ....

Clearly, this race is between SILVER BEAUTY & MEKONG DELTA, with the latter having a marginal edge.

@ Hi guys,
Have you seen Indiarace.com reporter has omitted Silver Beauty and put up other three horses for first three positions...? Why...? Silver Beauty is a small compact light weight filly, just check her body weight, if lost weight more than 5 kgs she wont win. If she gained weight by 5 or more Kgs she will win. Palatial is the only thorn.

Very little to choose between the two Palatial and Mekong Delta. In fact Mekong Delta came from last to finish with Palatial. Therefore both are on par.
WINTER RENAISSANCE - With this two runs this season should run a different race altogether. This is a different class compared to Palatial/Mekong Delta, Considering her 4th in the Indian Derby.

Please see race 33 W.R. came a close 3rd in a graded race that too with classic horses.
Palatial is a promotee has never run in classics
For me W.R. is clear winner.I n fact M.Delta may beat P'"il FOR 2nd place.
W.R. and Mekong DElta are 4 yr olds.

Palatial has great speed at the end. With 200 mts extra and 5 kg less it should win from WR as the late pusher Neeraj will guide her today.
