I am a tote player. And was arguing in favor of tote till June 30th. There after, somehow I felt that speaking in favor of tote will only invite angry responses. Not sure whether there was any posting from my side in favor of tote betting from 2nd week of July.

So I prefer not to react to your sarcastic comment "spokesperson of btc".

Anyway, if you can give me the date in which I have posted my ideas in favor of tote, I will definitely reply to your comment.

Let me say, for argument sake, I indeed have posted some thing that is in favor of tote. What harm it is to you or anyone else?

People who are so vocal in criticising me (or any other tote player) should first establish that they were winning big before Nov 8, 2016. Merely posting some negative and unwarranted comments will help no one.

At the outset, I agree that you should have got much higher dividend for your place bet on Rabda. Morally, ethically you are on a strong wicket in expressing your displeasure at the pittance you have received.

Now, just understand that I do not believe in rubbing chillies to your wounds. But merely reminding you that morals & ethics have no place when a clear cut policy is adopted for disbursing dividends. The one betting for place on a long shot will get dividend in accordance with that policy/rule only.

Rules as per turf club manuals take priority over ethics, sentiments & morals.

Till June 30th, BTC was the envy of all punters at other centers. Came the GST. The club has no option. In the name of GST, our bets in 100s or 1000s were being fed to the Kumbhakarna. With no matching facility. The dividends dropped. Then sales dropped. BTC with the idea of ensuring that at least the small residual customer base is not eroded modified their policy regarding place payout.

Now, think that you are at HYD. One bookie offers place odds at 2.50. For the same horse the bookie at next stall offers place odds 2.25. If you bet with the bookie at 2.25, who is at fault?

Now BTC displays probable dividend, updated every 30 seconds. Whether the place payout (probable) was 50s/100s before the race and after the race it has been brought down to 23? Certainly not. May be the display was 24 or 25 for place on Rabda and final dividend 23/- may be due to one horse getting scratched before the start. At the time of your bet if the probable display was 24 or 25, you have no right, no locus standi to expect dividends at par with HYD/KOL.

I do agree that the BTC has made the biggest blunder in revising the rules on place payouts. They had no business to disturb/alter the basic concept of pari-mutuel betting. Good or bad, the scenario till 20th was much better than what it is after 21st. But they are running the club. They have powers to make a change in this or that rule/s. They did that. And that has only worsened the situation. We, punters have the right to not to bet. That is all. And, a good number of tote punters are doing only that. Sales for place pool has been dropped to 20% of what it was before 30th June. It may still go down.

PS: It is more than 40 days. Not one rupee bet from me on win/place. I do not agree that it is impossible or any punter to stop betting. I have not stopped betting. Forecast/trinella are still there. Of course not applicable to those who bet 2k or more per race on a routine basis.

BTC is become daylight pick pocketers, playing win, shp & thp three way betting, to safeguard the investment,do punters will earn money in racing,no chance at all. Its better punters stop playing in BTC. Let BTC change their attitude punters are not for granted.

Post GST 28% were you see 10 rupees dividend on Win/Place horses that means Race Clubs are making loss on that horse by paying GST to government. GST is indirect tax and compulsory tax. So 28% GST is not good for anyone except Government.

When some people argue that paid dividend is less than the projected dividend then their is one solution betting should stop at tote five minutes before the start of every race so you will not see any difference.

Yes I agree your view, infact I noticed these irregularities long back, I had posted about these twice.

To my surprise one set of people argue in favour of totalizator like official spokespeson of by.

Btc knows that end is not far, so making money while it runs is the mantra. Really sad end for racing lovers.

Tote dividend is proportional to the amount contributed by Punters ( No. of tickets on a particulars Horse) Nowadays punters are reluctant to play on Tote for the reasons known to all. Just to trap punters they are displaying more dividend (False) for Place or Win on TV. But actual pay out may be different rather less than the one displayed in the TV.

Some times club itself punch a few tickets for them !!

As result payments comes down. As you say indeed day light robbery.

Someone should take them to Court for this injustice.

Another thamasha is their projected place dividends and projected winning dividends are totally misleading and the pay out is not in tandem with the projected ones. TOTALLY FARCE. Angar Lagao aisa race club ko.
