Both the above horses are from Bharath Singh's yard, the manner in which SANA won the last race in Bangalore, It looked like vastly improved, so the connections will fancy SANA. But, Sana was treated for Left Fore Splint Pain on 13th August. There are various types of Splint injuries, and the full treatment takes few days or weeks to complete. In Sana’s case, the treatment took only one day, it means that was a minor issue, hence it is running within 17 days of treatment. However, when a horse develops a splint, it should not be ignored. If proper veterinary advice sought, chances are excellent the horse will regain a normal state of soundness.
5. OCCITAN (Projected Time: 84.05)
Beaten 2nd to Lady In Lace, thereafter LIL won two races more. Treated for Gutteral Pouch Infection and Respiratory Tract Infection on 31st July, that is after its last run against Lady In Lace. A horse's guttural pouch may affect with bacteria or fungi and when these bacteria and fungi become trapped in the mucus that lines these pouches they cause infection and inflammation. The Guttaral Pouches serve several purposes in regulating temperature through air circulation with the cooling of the horse's brain. Since the guttural pouches contain important nerves, arteries, and blood vessels, infection become serious problems when they occur. Runny nose, cough, fever, listless, or depressed behavior of a horse means the horse is suffering from respiratory infection. Rainy and winter seasons are prime time for respiratory tract diseases. These are not serious, however Nerves in this area are responsible for crucial body functions, such as breathing, swallowing, and chewing affects.
5. WINDOSR FOREST: (Projected Time 83.10)
Pesi trained WF is absolutely racing fit. Second to in-form Lady In Lace, is the speediest in this lot, hence she is the real Contender.

Please stop addressing me "You are the Best" I know fully well I do not deserve that remarks. It may be music to ears, however I feel this may let down some other tipsters. If you say good for some other tipster "He is the Best" that also hurt other tipsters including me. So avoid such "complimentary phrases". Here in HT we all are equal. It is better, one day I click, next day some other tipster. Third day again some other. Tipsters need to be consistent, so give us time, do not distract our attention by saying this and that. Windsor forest is no doubt the horse to beat here,occitan has ran some good races in Bangalore and if it has improved on its runs can go close to Windsor forest.my feeling is occitan might run a bold race,best wishes for all

My choice is SANA to win
Reasons-
1.Best Pedigree- Full sister to ZANA & MATHAIYUS
2.Best Tracks- Last 400 in 26 not matched by any other contestants
3.History- Second to CASTLEBRIDGE at Kolkata twice,who annexed B'lore Colts & close second in Derby. The run of SANA in Fillies was just an airing,where WF finished ahead of her over 1600Ms. & now to travel 200Ms.less.
4.Same jockey who knows her the Best.

But calculation regarding the timing is not digestible.
86.34 to 87.23 will be the best time for the winner of this race.
You should discuss over the timings with Anushree, Sun, Pradeep like handicappers.
My choice will be AYRA'S PET for third place on Bangalore tote. 1k

Hesitate to Select anything in Kolkata as invariably things go wrong and everybody seems clueless!!! However, these are my selected horses for today:
Rc 1 - 1, decent youngster, working well but giving weight. Favoured against the likes of Fortune Express and Adi's Delight, must respect. If a jobber, will win.
Rc 2 - 3, same stable as 1-1, well summered in Bangalore, favourite when Withdrawn there, looks good to tackle this set. Should win this race.
Rc 3 - 3, though Older than 2, better performed over this trip.
Rc 4 - 1, best bet of the Day but will be at crunched Odds.
Rc 5 - 7, better performed horse but has to beat 6. Wait and watch.
Rc 6 - 2, should win on credentials, but watch out for 1 or 6 as both buzzing.
Rc 7 - between 3 & 5, take your pick.

There are two valid points raised here by writers here.
One pouring rain and second if W.F, is odds on fav.avoid
We have learned through bitter experience that expensive horses are given an easy run in such conditions.
Best advise avoid this race .the question of laying on this filly does not arise.
It may turn out to be an expensive mistake

I am convinced that WINDSOR FOREST should win easily. Her timings in Bangalore is excellent over 1600m and 2000m, 1:37 and 2:04.
In Bangalore Fillies G1 she ran a close 3rd and Sana was 4-1/2L behind her.
If you look at the replay of Sana winning later in class 30-50 in Bangalore was not impressive at all.
Sana doesn't stand a chance here.
It will be Pesi day tomorrow.

I am not testing my luck in rain soaked track of Kolkata.
Just out of curiosity went through card of fillies. Windsor forest and Sana have reached Kolkata a month back from Bangalore and have Not run any race since then.
Avarua has reached Kolkata well in advance and had a lung opener in 1600 race and was leading till beaten in last 50 mts.
The manner of winning of previous races of Avarua was effort less.
Windsor forest and Sana struggles in last 100 mts.
Arya's pet and Occitan could be ignored.
All these shoes, no shoes ,projected time will not work, pant above ,below are LOL.
A horse whose trainer is also co owner has a better chance always.
so the race is purely between Avarua and Windsor.
Avarua stands better chance than Windsor.
But not a paise of mine will be on both of them. Its raining and raining and raining.

OCCITAN who should get the measure of WINDSOR FOREST, is my hunch!
Both have performed in the company of LADY IN LACE, albeit at different times; and I reckon, that the former(Occitan) had relatively run a better race, considering the fact that she had met with an interference during that clash and yet had finished just 3L in arrears.
This is a vital point to reconcile with, if one were to judge the merits of these two fancied runners against a common horse.
Incidentally, SANA doesn't belong to this category... hence, can be ignored.
Finally...OCCITAN, WINDSOR FOREST,AVARUA...in that order!

I need few clarifications on the Projected Times.
1.At what Penetrometer Reading you are projecting this time?Being Classics day we can expect No False Rails.So how you are normalising the Times clocked with False Rails?
2.Two horses are from other courses how you arrive at Times normalised to Kolkata is it based on PNR?
I feel projected time of 83.10 for Windsor Forest is too good for this course.Assuming PNR at same values of 1.4 as of 26th August the Timng for Wibdsor Forest can be 86.58.

Windsor forest was finishing well in the Bangalore fillies met interference . Met one better in Hyderabad to yesterday's winner lady in lace , wasn't ridden to potential by Neeraj Rawal . Expect Suraj to ride a better race and beat Sana its main threat.
