Rc 6 - 14 with Suraj up, is a well performed youngster carrying bottom weight.

1st Race – (No whip race – confined to Mysore based horses)

1 – Reach the Stars – on demotion with S John up, may be tried
2 – Wylde – Good 4th last time, with the champion trainer/jockey of last season, good chance now
6 – Oceana – getting ready for a coup, may be today
11 – Heidrun – tracking impressively, can place here
12 – Coffee time – even after missing the jump, seen finishing on well last time, with this jockey might place again

My choice: (2) Wylde each way

2nd Race – (99% of time winner from Bangalore based horses only)

1 – Italian Stallion – tracking well, but may place only
5 – Divino – can upset if Suraj takes it easy
6 – Jack of Hearts – with Suraj, good chance today, but if father’s horse has to win then may take it easy
8 – High Voltage – a win due for long, but not at this bunch

My choice: little tough race being first leg of JP, hope (12) Arziki makes it from (6) Colour of Gold

4th Race – (confined to Mysore based horses)

1 – Anvill Star – best in the lot, but somehow I feel it may not win today too
3 – Reckless – last run with same jockey was good, can score now
4 – Veni Vidi Vici – can place here
6 – Ascendency – with jockey getting a win last week, might have boosted his confidence, will be in contention
7 – Albatross – failed when fancied, if in longer odds, will try to upset, good chance
10 – Sufficient proof – can place at longer odds

My choice: (3) Reckless each way & (7) Albatross each way

5th Race

1 – Magistero – one of the best horse in field, but being Memorial trophy, might play second fiddle
2 – Pallas – winner of identical distance earlier, with John very good chance here
5 – Apache Sunrise – youngest and going the distance for first time, on form can get it
7 – Storming Home – can surprise
8 – Micheala – fancied and failed in Bangalore, at home ground, in with very good chance, but jockey is ?
9 – Chandni – may take another 8-10 runs for next win

My choice: (5) Apache Sunrise has to fight it out with both (2) Pallas & (8) Micheala

6th Race

3 – Princess Sasha – Ooty horses generally do well at Mysore this season, can upset if tried
4 – Odyssey – based on its last run, very good upset chance now with this jockey
7 – Calico King – tracking well, in with very good chance to score today
9 – Rock Steady – may place here
11 – Flaming Spear – local horse with an upset chance
12 – Paint it Black – Long shot for jp hunters
14 – Turf Magic – youngest in the bunch and with top jockey might make it start to finish

My choice: (14) Turf Magic has a fight in hand with (7) Calico King

7th Race

1 – Irish Prince – on demotion, always done well with this jockey, chance
3 – Air of distinction – may be double for trainer/jockey through Turf Magic
7 – Nyssa – can make them all run, very good upset chance
8 – Scarlett princess – being younger one, may improve to be in place
10 – Granada – always tries start to finish tactics, but I feel may need bit more distance for comfort
14 – Reverberating – waiting for a coup for long, can it be today?

1-1 REACH THE STARS - Last win came in May/16 with SJohn in the saddle. The time has come to see the winning post as it is running in the company of 0-25.

2-6 JACK OF HEARTS - Last 3 runs in Bangalore were pretty consistent. Faraz Arshad had a bad season winning just 1/46. Booking Suraj is a sign that he wants to do better.

3-8 JAMES BOND - It will be a quick double for Suraj. After given couple of runs with Amy/D Patel in Bangalore, is ready to strike here.

4-1 ANVILL STAR - Lost by snk in the last run over 1400m 1:24:03, YS is retained to ride. Should be able to beat Excelonce/VVV.

5-1 MAGISTERO - Is a versatile horse, has gone distance of 1mile-1-1/2 mile with much better company. Forget the Akshay rides. Apache is by Excellent Art who was a miler and never travelled more than 1 mile.

6-14 TURF MAGIC - Coming from Bangalore with a close 4th over 1400m. With 200m < to travel and Suraj in the saddle + 3yr old all positives.

7-7 NYSSA - By Jeremy, Last two runs at Bangalore are good + a class down now 0-25. Same jockey retained to ride. Should win.

TWO GOOD DOUBLE TODAY: JACK OF HEARTS/JAMES BOND and MAGISTERO/TURF MAGIC.

If you are in very good + until the 6th race then have a good bet on Nyssa.

No doubt Magistero ran with other classic horses but just ran only no win !
Here main points considered here the horse is 4 year old where as Apache Sun Rise is 3 years onld. The earlier rin in the Colts Trial is a trick of the trainer to get neglected in the subsequent Governors cup and the horse won by 9 lengths !
Considering above points it has been suggested as a winner today. If the odds are too low them please do not back Apache. It will be pulled by vested interest/
Moreover the club has a tendency towards MAM to give maximum races since he was a big patron of the club.

By merit Apache will have a chance but please consider the situation at the time of racing. If the odds are too low being favorite please avoid. Trainer also may not bring his horse for such a low odds.

Apache is like a kid competing with a professional boxers.It will be knocked down so convincingly that those who are discussing margin of Lenths by which Apache will win will run for cover after the race.

Apache being days best? Absolutely no rational in this. It has never run 1800 mts and no one knows how it will Handel it.
And Magestrio has run in classics and in the company of such greats.
I can't wait to see the result of this race.
Apache being favorite hope to reap rich returns and will double my investment on Magestrio.
