In Calcutta everything is normal tax marginally up as bookies are charging tax 12% on 1k betting so not much difference but tote place payments are low.

It is amazing. Post GST, almost everyone is against Tote. Will agree that 2k to 20k to 200k bettors will not go anywhere near tote.

I am concerned with that majority. (bets less than 2000). Why should you pay for gst when the returns are only pea-nuts. If you are betting on 40/1 horses, no problem. (two races 7 & 8 yesterday at Pune paid high win dividends).

However, if you are betting among the top 3 fancies, then give some extra exercise to your brain and try forecast/trinella tickets. Less expensive and certainly much rewarding. Even 15% to 20% strike rate is worth the risk.

If you are betting only for win/shp/place at tote, chances are that even with 1000 bet, you may end up losing more than one lakh rupees per month.

Yesterday it was plus. It will not be so always. But, the loss very much in limit. You can enter the race course with 1000 to 1500. But, if you insist only playing for w/s/p, then this post is not for you.
