Eliminated few horses basis their earlier runs with the Shortlisted horses.
2. Shivalik Star (Average runs, 8 yr old, John chosen a dud hence ignored)
3. Micky Mouse (A front runner, aged, almost equal with Shivalik Star)
4. Downton Abbey (2-3 other horses are better)
5. Flying Show (Coming after a Lay off. Mysore Horse. Working well,not enough).
6. Never Again (Ooty Horse, Promoted, working enough, Not enough)
7. Top Spot (Gold Berg like horses better, now out of form, ignored)
9. Murcilago (Since Chennai win, no form whatsoever)
11.Bandito (Promotee, facing stiff challenge, no work out, ignored)

1. Castle Key (3rd behind Danny Crane in Hyd was impressive, Weight not a problem for this horse, In Mysore horses with 70 Kg also won in the past, hence cannot ignore, No Track...? best horse from Arjun's stable)

I do not agree that the jockey did not try. In all her runs she came from behind .
1400 mtrs suits her better and in weak company may win.
At least so many of you got your money back in place bets ,Me lost out to Arjun .my horse no where.
A smart cookie next to me back both horses one and two. I could not as I bet win and place on castle.
His arguement first day of Arjun in MYS ,THAT TOO WITH 3 HORSES IN ONE RACE!.

And jackpot 2-10/11-2-4-field which fetched 213 20 tickets consolation and one jackpot 2,400. The movement we really tell they are ( bookies ) will be knowing . Be care full and never write in horse talk. Govindarajan or BKD are with bookies .

Those who have criticized me on horse weight I want to tell them I know everything, but my calculations are based on the statistics I said there, there are 2 more steps after that, that I will disclose on request but not here and it's free. 25 years of racing and you feel I don't know handicapping, I have a different formula for sprints and classics.

Your calculations are good Nevermind the horse did not win but displayed a good show may be due to instructions apprentice Jockey might have done that. As you say Chor company Ltd.,
take it easy you may ask me how long ?? After all it is a gamble. That is why I request my friends not tio lay too heavily.

Apprentice kept Sea Fairey too far behind, by the time it warmed up it was too late. For solace it beaten Shivalik after the winning post. As I said in title thread Arjun, Neil and Attaollahi is a Private Limited Company they will decide which one should win.
I never expected Flying Show will display such a turn of foot, despite breaking a blood vessel, bad luck !

08-Sep-2017Bad Luck Mad Max. Jockey rode well no doubt but late. Look at the other fun. Trainer Am had three horses. You tried your best to study but misfired when you said John has has been opted or should we say opted to ride Downton Abbey. Now if John rode Shvalik Star would the odds have been 8 to 1. It would have been favoruite. Then What. Would the trainer have tried Castle Key. How to forget Godlberg. Does a horse with no track swimming expect to be backed. Sad trainer. Why enter a horse without any work. Just for the record I played Mickey Mouse. Never heard the name in the whole race not even shure how it finished fourth.

08-Sep-2017Shivalik Star (DP = 5-5-16-0-0) stands tall in this set. But the jockey's choice confuses all. Irrespective of jockey, I still feel it can easily win this poor set.
According to me , it should run start to finish and beat this set without sweat.

We do see some gems time to time here.
A guys who is a regular tipper here and not so bad either does not know the basics like the weight the horse carries. God know about the other handicapping tools he applies.
My reading of the race is that it's for Arjun's taking. Best of the lot is castle key and the allowance taken is appropriate. John's selection of Downton Abbey is surprising. If the stable is going with Downton Abbey then it will find someone better in say Flying Dragon but definitely not in Sea Fairy. So whatever the connections decides i will go with the best horse in the field, win or lose.
Racing is more about losing than winning so i will not be surprised if i lose my bet. But i will definitely NOT stop writing here.

Your reply to SPF that Sea Fairey won on debut for S Pathy is wrong as this horse was the property of Vijay Mallya right from debut till it was sold off now to S Pathy. Since the ownership has changed all the runs right from debut till last are shown as the property of S Pathy.

After first race result I expect information on PNR and after that I will project the times for Sea Fairey and other horses.
If one were to analyse races based on Timing do we have to take full impact of Jockey Allowance.For 4Kg allowance for this 1200 mtrs race the correction would be 0.6 Secs.In practice do we observe this difference?

Firstly congratulations on all the success that you have received recently, though i no longer find racing a fruitful prospect Everytime i select a horse it happens to match your selection..
We have had a healthy debate before, i hope this time you take my response positively..
It takes a lot of courage to come out and give a horse such as Sea Fairy as a first choice.. Having said that it is extremely hard for an Apprentice such as Shamaz to cope up with the pressure of riding a class I race, i take special interest when i see new kids getting licensed, Shamaz got license at the same time Nazerul, Rayan, Darshan etc got their license, Shamaz's handling has been extremely weak (If you notice Amazing charm's past runs) thoughthe horse is decent and being the only one who has been tracked this month, makes him a place contender.. Though i m unable to pin point a winner, i just thought i would share my opinion..

I am happy to see a mature response and no 8th or 9th wonders.
Why I discarded S.Fairey .
A broken down filly was with Mallya stable.bought by the breeder ,still racing hoping to cash on but present performance does not inspire confidence in this highly rated field.
Joker of the Pack Mickey mouse. but I will stick to the castle.
Advice no big bets in this race as anyone can surprise

But for the publicity given by MM 95% of HTers would not even glanced Sea fairey on a normal day.
A horse that has placed 8,5,11,10,4 in last 5 runs cant reach 1 over night.My interest in that ends there.
COMING TO WINNER: Arjun Mangalokar has 3 horses in the race. Castle key, shivalik star, and Downton Abbey and the race is at the mercy of him. After all is no rookie.
SO NOT GOING TO DISCUSS OTHER HORSES and to be frank they don't deserve attention.

Surely 61 kg is a wt to be considered. They will never be able to maintain straight course most of the time.
You are not going to give a winner to an apprentice jockey when John is there. Kolkata treble will boost his confidence and raring to go at local field.
Downton abbey is based at Bangalore and has been moved to Mysore and had a benefit of run in 1400 mts race where it placed 3rd to a superior horse Savannah sound which loves 1400 run.
Taking in to consideration all the facts typed above and gut feeling and 100s reasons that are in my mind and since I am confidant and to end typing( I am awful typist) I will settle for DOWNTON ABBEY as WINNER.

I have a slightly different view than yours.
SEA FAIREY has a chance no doubt, but apprentice Shareef somehow does not appeal to me. He is almost a raw hand and therefore may lack the finesse of a stronger jockey.Performance wise too, excepting for her last essay, where she had placed 4th to Rafa, hasn't been very spectacular for almost a year now.
On the other hand, look at GOLDBERG, also to be ridden by an apprentice, who has for ever been a consistent player, never slipping out of the board!
Hence, my money would be riding on Goldberg. Whoopee!

It is DOWNTON ABBEY - Has done good track work and owners are cup mongers.
Arjun has three horses in this event, the other two are decoys (SS has age factor and CC has won a race recently in summer at good odds).

My God ! Please understand No horse can carry ADVERTISED HANDICAP WEIGHT + JOCKEY WEIGHT.
CASTLE KEY will carry only the ADVERTISED WEIGHT only 65-4 = 61 Kg. (S. Antony Raj's weight + Leads = 61 Kg). If his body weight is 52, balance 9 Kgs Lead weights shall be placed each side of the saddle (4-1/2 kg each) to make up the difference.

@ Mad Max - agree 100% that Sea Fairey should win. Its Clear on Paper. Dazzling Bay, the only one with "Pushed" work followed by swimming should follow, if not place.
Castlebridge also looks home and dry thought the Price will be crunched.

Jockey changed to winning jockey S.Antony Raj.
Last run: HyM17 - 20/8/17 Race no. 74 (12m) 6th till bend, 5th till 400, 4th till 200, finished 3rd. to DENNY CRANE. Timing 1:12.98 in heavy underfoot conditions.
5 FLYING SHOW (58kg + 48kg) = 106kg carrying.
Same winning jockey SAI KIRAN.
Last Run: MyS17 - 22/6/17 Race no.37 (12m) 3rd till 800, 2nd till 200, took charge at 100 and won. Timing 1:09:93 beating CONSTANTINE by 3/4th length.
6 NEVER AGAIN (57kg + 51kg) = 108kg carrying.
Same winning jockey R VAIBHAV.
Last Run: Oty17 - 28/5/17 (100) (14m) 5th till 1200, 3rd till 800, 2nd till turn, took led and won nicely. Can't ignore because of the bloodline.

Dont look beyond Castle Key ridden by apprentice jockey Antony Raj who in my opinion will be another Trevor Patel as his riding suggests. So Castle Key should WIN emphatically..
