Right from last week of June, we are seeing only 7 races a day at BNG/MYS.
(Derby week end at BNG is the only exception). Of course excuse me if there were 8 or more races any other day/s.
Tomorrow 93 horses are competing in 7 races. I have no complaint on that count. But, members to please tell what is the actual problem. Is there any reason (not numerology, only racing reason or administrative reason) for running only 7 races.
Hyd, Pune are running 8 or 9 races a day. Whereas BNG/MYS are running fixed 7, the number of runners in many races is 14.

Raguvanu how does it matter to you if it is 6-7-8-9 or 20 races a day. You play 10 rs max and talking like peti bettors. Your 10rs gone and you eat other fellow punters head. Stop boasting here. Its for you and some other of your fellow group maniac peiole lot of good knowledge people left this site. If you want I can give you the names, hope admin Sir can get them back

BTC become very worst now only because of GST. Soon they will close BTC. Even it cant become like MRC because they are not allowing bookies. What is the use if they have 6 races or zero races.

Dear Raghavan,
May be the calculation of the race club that punters will not be having any money to bet at the eighth race is the reason for stopping at the seven race. The calculation is very simple
assume that the sum of all the money brought by punters is 100.
1St race bet 100 - tax 28 = return 72
2nd race bet 72 - tax 20 = return 52
3rd race bet 52 - tax 15 = return 37
4th race bet 37 - tax 10 = return 27
5th race bet 27 - tax 8 = return 19
6th race bet 19 - tax 5 = return 14
7th race bet 14 - tax 4 = return 10
In total if punters brought 100 as investment and bet he pays 90 as tax in seven races and get only 10 as dividend, that too for lucky punters. Where is the money for 8th race to play and pay tax. That's why clubs planning for 7 race card and sending punters back home with 10% of money and gave them sufficient time to come back with 100% money next day.

What is important is the number of bettable races and not the number of races. Besides with lesser number of races one can FOCUS better.

Strictly speaking, I have no objection whether they run 7 or 6 races.
Just wanted to know if there is any specific purpose or any appreciable savings to the club by restricting the number of races to 7.
@TRS: O K. I am not sure whether the punters will mind staying inside the race course for extra half hour or one hour. As salamander said, the Mysore is giving 35 minutes break between races which effectively means they are not as much time-conscious as you are giving them credit.

The club is not that much interested in multileg pools, exotic pools. Their main interest is in win/shp/place pools only. Even with draconian gst slab, win pools sales healthy 30 lakhs+. But place pool/shp pool has taken a beating and the club has no way to improve the situation.

I have stopped betting for win/shp/place because of the hefty tax slab. I prefer to stay as small time punter. Was betting fc/qn/tnp. That also restricted courtesy BTC fight with Government. So. let someone like Poonawala, Jhunjhunwala assume the role of sponsor.

To My Opinion it is better to have 7 races per day,because punters need not lose
all their money in one day itself by playing all 8 or 9 races.It is little easy for better analysis and selection if the field is medium .If more than seven races punters may be tired and cant reach their home early.They may have to face lot of problem from their family also.
First of all let BTC resume races,at the earliest.

Races are not divided, so that they need not pay the stake Money (Save on stake money from the clubs). Thats all

Its better to have 7 races in Bangalore &Mysore.Punters can save some money atleast .Puters can go home little earlier.8 or 9 races per day means punters may get bored and tired.To my knowledge it is little easy to analyse and select winning horse if the field is medium.First of all let Bangalore resume races once again at the earliest.
