Certain Issues On Gst, Breeders And Turf Clubs

By Aam Punter | 12-Sep-2017

I request the concerned authorities and people to examine the matter and take action accordingly.

1.THE ISSUE OF GST.The way it is handled reminds me of amateurish action. Here are the people who handled their business empires with utmost efficiency. But when it came to racing they blundered.Normally even though we may be having good knowledge but we entrust works to professionals. But instead of having good consultants to prepare and present the issue I am unable to understand why turf club authorities are presenting the matter them selves? Is it due to lack of money or interest or ? Immediately turf clubs have to hire an suitable consultancy and let them give a presentation to finance minister and gst council showing all benefits to be accrued to central govt and state govts.

2. The ever green issue of online betting. As per certain reports online rummy playing sites are clocking a turn over of 1500 crore. Now if we talk about online betting on horse racing people are saying it is against to it laws and is crime. Then how come rummy playing sites official.I feel the issue is incompetently handled by the turf clubs. If they feel they cant do it then let them engage good consultants and appeal before courts if necessary. When other countries are allowing betting through mobile, phone why are race clubs sleeping? At least proposals are to be made to govts explaining tax income they are losing.

THE BREEDERS.If you google at least more than 20 streets in towns in india come up as race course roads. What are the breeders doing except for some showbiz and commenting on racing clubs? The breeders as a lot have to persuade the govts to allow more race clubs and getting allotted lands, permissions ..etc.If you google number of race courses in australia ,japan and usa and the country population and compare it to india Breeders will know what to do. But how to do may be different. There are many ways- through govt or autonomous bodies or companies .. But the issue is they are not thinking laterally. We hope someday they get wisdom.

THANK YOU FRIENDS.

The International prices for crude came down by 50% and still we are paying the same price for petrol/diesel when the crude all time time in international market.

Demonitisation around hundred people died and you got 99% cash back in old notes. And common people had to suffer a lot because of this step.

Earlier the tax to the government was around 10% exempting Mum/Chennai Race clubs their the tot collections were bad people use to play near bookies. But other race clubs turnover at the tot was good.

The tax before GST was around 10% now they hiked it to 28% almost three times which is totally illogical. In the future the Government will loose revenue from race clubs. The Clubs and the Punters are the worst sufferers Arun Jaitly or Modi are least bothered. But definitely Ache din for Bookies.

I have only one questioned to ask Hamare ache din Aakhir kab aayenge?
