Just 100+ a day? Well. Was not knowing that there is such a miserly & stingy establishment that too during 2017.

The wages should be met from revenue only. But, the low revenue should not be an excuse to hit on stomach of an employee. And, my most conservative guesstimate is even in this gst era, the revenue at rwitc would have been 20 times more than what it is, IF there was no 10% bets.

Let the Government force the btc to raise the membership by another thousand. I am not bothered. My one and only contention is, the Government should not have indulged in such black mail tactics.

Will the BTC publish the audited accounts online like RWITC? Transparency will help the Club go a long way.
@raghavan - BTC tote ops get 400/- per died? In RWITC it is still measly a hundred and odd! Some get more in the form tips from punters.

The govt should calculate the amount of betting tax it is losing and evaluate the cost of 50 memberships it is demanding. The horse owners association KROA should pettion in supreme court to appoint LODHA type committee to give equal representations in form of membership to horse owners on whose investments race course is running.The stubborn attitudes are causing untold misseries to booksellers,ticketing staff and others. The curses of sufferers shall not go in vain.

CEO NIRMAL PRASAD is wholly responsible for this mess. As he was the CEO when this happenend.
Action should to be taken on him.

Why number from 350 not increased from 1978 where as RWITC has over 2650 members.

Why members not paying any subscription to be part of club and enjoy subsized food and drinks.BTC does not own the land.
It is state govt land the case in pending in Supreme court date in 2019.

We can keep harping on state govt. fault meanwhile punters employees keep suffering

I really pity those employees. The tote clerks were paid around 400 a day.

I do not agree what the members are doing.

And, as a punter, I am as much concerned & as much inconvenienced as any other punter in not being able to bet.

But, one thing that I can not understand is why should we demonise the members? They may not have done any thing worthwhile for the improvement of the club; but, they have not harmed the club in any way. They are just visiting the club as guests, avail whatever facilities that has been granted and vacating.

Any other member in any other club would have definitely resisted if and when the Government propose to take 50 members nominated by it.

But, why no one is speaking about the Government? The Govt may be 100% right in expecting that btc should agree to the demand of accommodating 50 new members nominated. But, is this the way to arm twist the club?

It is really laughable that the Government is citing a COD enquiry as reason for not issuing the license. Let the Government be honest enough to at least speak out why the license is being denied.

I don't know which category you fall into. May be if you are the second, there is lots of sympathy. If third, definitely no sympathy as they are doing it out of charity or some unseen benefit. If first, be happy you are saving some money rather than depositing it to the bookies or tote. Spend some quality time with family as definitely you may not have in the past decade when racing was there every day or at least every other day.

It makes very sad reading seeing the plight of so many but sadly

The members of BTC are out of touch with the real world.

350 member are use less, in 350 some member politic back ground, one member ex-minister/MLA ..THEY COMING TO CLUB TO ENJOY..STANDING FOR PHOTO'S..WHEN PROBLEM THEY ARE ALL ESCAPED...

THEY NOT DESERVED TO CALLED MEMBERS...THEY CHEATING THEIR MEMBERSHIP....
