First congrates. But some reasons against a selection is also required to install confidence to HTers in you. Without that one will be like "also ran" in the race case . So please justify your selection ( before race off course).
Take a clue from others like Dharmesh,Libero etc etc who always justify their selections no matter what the results are.

Folks one gets the feeling Paddys student was looking to make a coup.All his horses were avl at 7 to 1 or above 3 off them won.The 2nd race spoilt the party.If not a roll of just 1000 would have fetched 27 lakhs.

Dear SVKRAJU,
Granted, TOMORROW FOREVER looks apparently better than MARGUERITA as it had earlier beaten her by 3.75Ls (Rc#74)!
On a closer scrutiny however, MARG was running as the favourite in that race while it had been inconvenienced more than once...so it had finished where it did (5th) Now, with Suraj assigned in place of Dashrath, I expect it to perform pleasingly and should be in the first two.
Whereas, TOMORROW was a non trier @ 20/1, and so whether she will even place or not is a moot point!
In Race three of the card, I prefer SICARIO to finish over DEVOTION, simply due to the possibility of a hat trick with her regular jockey Mohit Singh, doing the honours. The dark'un here is obviously MILLENIUM GLORY who was a failed on money favourite in her last essay, just buckling in to Jump & Run.
SANA ...we both are in agreement. Hope it does oblige.
EVERYBREAKINGWAVE(My DB @ 3/1)), I believe has excellent chances to win in this batch..now that ARVAK has been withdrawn. Has to only beat the onmoney favourite WASHINGTON, who is undoubtedly a formidable contender.
Nevertheless....4th leg of JP pool on a Big day, seldom sees an on money favourite winning?? Just my hunch! Maybe, I'm proved wrong.

PS: The rains have ceased in my area about 3-4 Kms away from RC. But it is still quite dark and forbidding. I will be on my away in a few minutes though.

I think this is the last race for No politics..being a Derby day,,I'm pretty confident that the jaiswal family will try..it's raining here and going will be soft..all in all it is a chance bet and I will punch little amount at TOTE e/w...I think.no harm in it..

Well...well...at 10AM, the weather God's are playing truant out here in CAL, jeopardising the aura surrounding the Derby!

Kolkata Derby Day (01.10.17) choices
1st Race
(6) Happy Returns can score his maiden win in this maiden’s set from (8) Marguerita, note the first timer (1) Grand Forest too for upset
2nd Race
(5) Mariska fresh from her maiden win may carry the good form for another win, but has to tackle (4) Lochinvar
3rd Race
(8) Malana after some impressive performances in Bangalore, changed stables and may be ready for a coup now, note (10) Zena if jockey is entitled to use whip then can beat’em all
4th Race
(7) Mythical Sunrise from Mumbai circuit might be a gamble today, but the race looks very open and being only 3 year old, Jump and Run may win again
5th Race
(8) Midnight Star, youngest in the bunch should do it today, make a note of (6) No More Politics the oldie in the bunch might get its long overdue before retirement on Derby day
6th Race
On her style of winning last few races (5) Daffodils stands tall in this set to win the Derby, has to tackle only (6) Sana who can surprise Daffodils on the post if tried
7th Race
(6) Washington looks like a one horse race, (7) Ambries returning after a break may need this run
8th Race
(6) Apalachee can repeat, but has to tackle (8) Romantic Lass & (12) Warpath, also note (7) Bengal Tiger who is tracking extremely well and may upset

Derby is for owners jockeys trainers let daffodil win. .how does it matter. ..I will keep my eyes on kartiken and warpath...mix of history ..handicapping and hoping allowance riders will try their best

Kolkata Derby Day selections 1/101/17
1.00 #2 SMITH AND WESSON will strip fitter second-up from spell and can shed his maiden tag with massive switch in rider.
#3 TOMORROW FOREVER showed good improvement last start while finishing close 3rd. Will appreciate the rise in trip and can upset.
1.30 #7 PANCHOVILLA has run well at both starts since a break. Extra distance ideal and this only 3yo in this field gets chance to win under strong rider.
2.00 Bangalore import #8 MALANA is working well and has matched strides with superior horses. If new stable have her fit enough she can win this.
2.30 #1 JUMP AND RUN had a good fought win here last start. Harder here with 4kg up and stepping up in distance but can't knock winning form.
At this feather weight #9 IVY can give this a shake. Keep an eye.
3.00 #8 MIDNIGHT STAR has put the writing on the wall with strong showings at his past two starts including his win over Bang Bang by 6 lengths. Well weighted in this company and is the one to beat.
3.30 Mumbai challenger from champion trainer's yard #5 DAFFODILS is in great heart at present winning three on the trot. She'll appreciate the rise in trip and should be hard to beat.
4.00 #6 WASHINGTON has dominated in recent runs at this track and this doesn't look any harder. Likely to bring up the hat-trick.
4.30 #1 JACKNIFE struggled last start after working hard in the lead. Locked and loaded for an improved showing back to this grade. Don't discount.
