Tomorrow is the Threptin Fillies & Marrs Stakes.. a Race dedicated exclusively for the Fairer sex. Run over 1800 metres it is one of the Prestigious race run at Pune. This years edition looks to be in the grip of Aster Rose. She has run with much better class horses. If some challenge it will probably be from Escals.

Aster Rose has improved a lot since its run in Mumbai oaks, except for its last win the horse has been running bold races behind top class horses.
Aster rose loves to come from behind,with a feild of 11horses did find little difficulty in overcoming traffic issues but still showed its class winning last time out,with a small feild to tackle aster rose should easily win this race.

If you go by term handicapping and revised ratings then Escala is beating Aster rose fair and square. Lets see what happens.

Aster Rose - just managed to win from Mysore horse Savannah sound. Now concedes weight all around and her first run at pune track. Top rated and has a class edge.
Silver Beauty - lacks form and weak rider in saddle.
Unforgettable You - Class 4 winner.
Escala - Next best on rating and In receipt of weight from main contender , has been given a nice educative run at this track where she ran a forward race finishing close up. Now strips fitter and this looks a target race.
Michaela - Last run against Apache Sunrise was good but never won outside Mysore.
My pick : ESCALA

Rahul a study shows A rose has never carried 59 kgs! max 57 kgs. that too last year.
Pune and Hyd race courses are tricky ones and need a run .Also no work outs in pune for these BNG HORSES.
Last run A rose barely managed to win under the whip beating Savannah Sound.!
The only run in Pune for an out side challengers have been Escala .now see the class and company of last race.here
It is the second highest rated horse after A rose.
So a clear winner for me. An each way bet as it has to beat only A rose.
The others come in also ran category.
