What is the problem?
The problem is - 350 ‘racing- illiterates’ are holding all others at ransom. The ‘others’-some intelligent but most of them ‘ chalta hai’ type- are not clueless, but have no ‘locus standi’ nor any back-up to stand ‘against’ these clever but clueless individuals, in this ‘dirty’ game as perceived by a common man/woman...
In sports- athletic sports in particular,– 100m, 200m 400m, marathon etc. you can not buy a runner to lose but in tennis, badminton –individuals and in football, hockey or cricket few or some players can be bought for a price and the result of the game can be changed. In horse racing – you can buy only one person- the jockey, and change the shape of the race!
Most of the writers blaming BTC are addicts of racing and using subterfuge of ‘workers’ and avoid blaming the main culprit/(S) – ‘350 strong members’ responsible for suspension of racing...
Long ago on the frontage of a club in Bombay(now Mumbai) there was a board with the caption ‘INDIANS AND DOGS NOT ALLOWED’ – till 1976 A.D. – 30 years after INDEPENDENCE, which when highlighted and published by a leading local newspaper created lot of hue and cry and the club was ‘forced’ to remove that billboard...
Whites have left this country in 1947 , but their lackeys – brown babus still live in that illusive era and do not see the ‘writing on the wall’. ..
