Bombay Gymkhana a ritzy club left by the British, refused to give permanent memberships to babus. The babus stopped the parking space to the Club in the front. Now things have been sorted out amicably as per today's news reports.

I feel the Government, now, would not give the license even if the BTC members accede to its request of granting membership to 50 members. The lease of the club has expired long ago and matter is pending in the Supreme Court. Elections are fast apporaching and hence, the matter will be placed in the deep freezer. If the same Government continues after elections, which is quite likely, the members can say goodbye forever to the Turf Club. The litigation will undoubtedly go in favor of the Government as the land belongs to them. BTC may be converted into a park or Government may use it for its own purposes. All the mentally challenged clowns who can't see what is coming, can take rest at home and keep on reminiscing about the bygone days and freebies they enjoyed at Turf Club once upon a time.

If racing is not going to be there, the real estate sharks will take over. Dick Francis has written a book about neglected race course being in the eyes of real estate sharks... if all the race courses come out of their shells and have one turf authority and also go public with ipo things will improve dramatically. Transparency in dealings and increase in revenues endless possibilities. Only will is required to reform and reform! Maharajahs have gone after independence but kingdoms still remain with politicians and dynasty! Wish the Brits come back and run this country at least they brought trains and racing. Otherwise imagine this country would be a dark one unknown and unknowable!!

If BTC not able to sort out issues now,they can have the winter session at Mysurepa course and Mysur can run it on behalf of BTC till it gets Bangalore race course back for racing.in this arrangements BTC owners trainers shift their horses to Mysure.All terms and conditions on BTC governing rules.let the try this stopgap arrangements immediately.

BTC comes under Socity Act, hence govt can takeover.

It is high time that Govt. appoint an ADMINISTRATOR for running the events (The trained staff are available) till the members admit to the demands of govt.

Also these members should not be allowed to use the aminities provided to them.

MR Naidu needs clear 21 days to call a meeting of AGM's... Why 21 days.. Can't that be called immediately looking at the plight of the daily wage people...

Cricket Hockey to name a few sports have politicians involved. What's wrong if horse racing has their involvement. Government is not asking now but this request is for long time. Have they asked for 500. Only 50. These 50 will be put in the pool of 350 to make it 400. What's wrong. They will vote like any other but does not mean they can run the club. It will be foolish to think a few ex politicains were not involved in racing all these years. Infact Mr.Ambaressh is also a owner. Is he a problem. I only feel BTC should have allowed off course betting till now and then not given license for Winter meeting.

Shivakumar one of the previous Chairman said the same and got license for Summer meeting. After that what.

Govt has agreed to amend articles to accomodate 50 more members when they could have easily said not now wait for CID enquiry to be over.

350 odds members most planters they say. None of these people gamble or want money as they have money to last next 10 generations. It is already decided they won't give in as they scared government will rule the game. I request if nothing happens on the SGM day let all resign and hand over club to government. Anyways they have no ownership of land. Let them not worry of this government asks 50 or next government asks 50. Even of they want to go to court they won't have money to pay lawyers.

In the whole process of bargaining/give and take... I fail to understand one thing.Why the members of BTC are so adamant on not allowing any increase in the number of members. OK for the sake of argument, let us accept.. they are not willing for any increase in numbers as their privileges will get diluted. Fine.. But for all the members who are against increasing the numbers, I have only 1 question " Sir,what if you continue to oppose ? What if the government continues its adamant approach ( by now you must have realized that under no circumstances the government is willing to be flexible on this issue ) and dont issue a license to conduct races/ Off course betting ?..Next alternative.. either accept government verdict or challenge government's decision in the court.. Now financially the club must have been badly affected. If enough income is not generated the club might collapse.. ( govt will not collapse if enough revenue doesnt reach them if racing is stopped.).. Then what is the use of you continue to be members of such a club.. which has no function/ no income generation and inability to sustain ". My request to all the members.. please consider the issue of club coming to a collapsed state if you continue your opposition for increase in number what the government has demanded.. because the future of the club and survival of this very sport is the priority. Isnt it ?
There are many cities in Karnataka without race courses and racing. Bangalore after having attained such glorious heights shouldn't be allowed to collapse like this. The ball is in your court. Please return the ball to the other side of the court with all responsibilities sensibly. Thats all.

PLEASE MEET C.M AND TELL THEM AS PER YOUR DEMAND WE AGREED TO GIVE 50 MEMBERS TO YOU, AND WE CALL S.AGM ON 15TH NOV-2017. YOUR DEMAND WILL FULL FILL WITH HONOR,

MEMBER SHOULD REQUEST CM TO GRANT LICENCE IMMEDIATELY AT LEAST TILL NOV-20TH-17, TO RUN OFF COURSE IN THE INTEREST OF WORKERS,SPORTS AND REVENUE OF GOVT AND BTC. PLEASE TRY TO GET LICENCE BEFORE 25TH OF THIS MONTH.,

DON'T SCARE GO MEET CM,GO MMET AND GET LICENCE...AS ELECTED MEMBER'S I HOPE YOU WILL DO WITH OUT WAIT TILL ANOTHER ONE MONTH.
