Back To India

By Ayyarnet | 01-Nov-2017

Friends :

Our Trevor will be back to India soon after witnessing Melbourne cup next week.
His stint is over with just one win on No Annamosity. Some thing is better than nothing !!!

He had the privilege of riding nearly 25 mounts. Out of these he could win just one Race only and a couple of Seconds. The difference between Australian Races and Indian Races is that there all Jockeys will try their best here once a favorite takes a lead then all other people will do Arm Chair ride only. In Australian Races I have seen in many races the entire field is on the Finishing line !

Friends:

When I did not find Trevor's name last weekend and this week also in races I enquired with the Ace Trainer Robert Heathcote about his welfare, He was too good enough to reply to me stating Trevor is on Holiday in Sydney and he is proceeding to Melbourne and since his visa is expiring shortly he must return back to India and he also added a line that it has been a pleasure to be with him in his stable indicating his stint is over there. He could have secured another win on No Annamossity ( Second Time ) but unnecessarily he came to India for Pune Derby. Still then the Trainer gave him another chance to ride No Annammossity again after returning from India after Pune Derby but unfortunately due to Heavy Going Races were abandoned on that day. He rode another Horse Lucky Captain but just missed the win and came second. So final tally just one win and a couple of seconds and 2 third place after 25 rides in Australia.

He is indeed lucky enough to be with a lovable trainer in Australia. He sent me a nice photograph with Trevor after his maiden win on No Annamossity.

On 15 th after Derby. Octoberfest Shameka was in full swing and I was having the Special German Beer while the dance floor was jam packed with young boys and girls dancing to the tunes of some melodious tunes by a talented German lady, whe who else walked in but Travor Patel!
I managed to go past some kids and held on to his sleeve for a few minutes.
When I told him that I. am a regular at the Melbourne Cup,he told me that he will meet me at Flemington this coming Tuesday!
Of course,I am not there this Tuesday and it one wishes ,one can meet !

It is a huge Race Course and there is lot of open space next to the paddock and it will not be difficult to meet anyone except before 3 pm when the MC.Race starts.
At that time you can't even put a step with families spread all round with their kids and food and beer and wine bottles.
On other days, one can roam around Flemington with gay abandon!
