Castlebridge

By Varun | 01-Nov-2017

The way CASTLEBRIDGE won the mysore derby, i guess he will be prime contender in INDIAN CLASSICS in upcoming MUMBAI and BANGALORE seasons. He also ran the fastest on the indian turf clocking 1:59:62, better than Serjant At Arms (2:01.45. Mysore Derby run, i ignored that run of SERJEANT was not ridden to his true potential because POONAWALLAS didnt had a CLASSIC whole year, so ICE GLACIER WON ) as SERJEANT won INDIAN 2000 GUINEAS and RR RUIA GOLD CUP, he was installed as INDIAN DERBY FAVOURITE, therefore CASTLEBRIDGE will be main contender for upcoming INDIAN CLASSICS.

Guys this is only from my POINT OF VIEW.

Let the season start just keep in mind ZENON and IN THE STAR were first told to you by

SANJIV SHINDE.

I had played Velvet rope and Antonius also given here in the thread if you are that old please recollect the name and don't forget till Indian derby.

And about leaving the racing if that would have been the case wont have been in racing since 1999 . Please remember the year since 1999.

Neutral views : please remind me this till Indian derby what Mad Max has said.

@ Natural View

That is the problem Sir. You think you are airing Neutral Views because you have a Pseudo in that name. There are so many tipsters here with this disease, they are posting comments in HT only AFTER THE RACES. It is happening again and again in India. That is the reason I addressed you Natural View....that is the reason I rechristened you Natural View.

You really need new glasses..its neutral view not natural view...
I think you have blinkers attached to your glasses..get new without blinkers

You said...."Castlebridge has reached his peak. It's not going to go ahead much".
I dont know which "peak" you are pointing out... certainly not the Kangchenjunga. Is it Nanda Devi, Kament, Saltoro Kangri, Saser Kangri, Mamostong Kangri, Rimo or some other peak point in Sahyadri, from where you can see NATURAL VIEW of MAD MAX..? So please tell me the name of the point so that I can adjust my frame to evade from the Natural View !

Now coming back to Castlebridge. I never said he is a prime contender for Indian Derby or next Invitation. I just cited the rating of Castle Bridge and Zenon. And there are other 11 horses in between these two which finished ahead of Zenon in the Colts Trial Stakes. This is the scenario from the BTC. There are other 3 yer old horses from other centers also being readied for future classic races.

I was the one to make the first comments in Indiarace about Castlebridge post Summer Derby race which Manifold won and the trainer's resentment in the paddock. Trevor was seen showing gestures to Bharat Singh like "he tried his best, but the horse was not good enough to beat Manifold". From that gesture I realized Castlebridge is not a good stayer. He has no chance in the Indian Derby or Invitation.

@ Mad Max

Till the derby day castlebridge is not going to remain at 94 rating and neither Zenon or In the stars. You cant predict Indian Derby winner at this moment with conviction. A lot happens in next 3 months. Old champs fade away and new champs emerge. Three months prior to their respective derby wins, no one gave chance to Noble eagle,Velvet Rope, Diabolical, Hotstepper, Antonios to name a few. So donot be a prick unless want to blow your own baloon.

So you are in no position to tell anyone that they are wasting life in racing. By nominating few winners you do not get to be alfa beta kappa of the racing. Your are not supreme authority in nominating winners. Everyone is free to speak their mind here and you have no right to belittle anyone. So do not poke nose in others business and do not speak unless you are spoken to.

In another threads here the debate is going on who is better Shaman or Olympia Fields. I say Olympia Fields and Mr.Sun says Shaman. In the Bangalore Colts Trial Stakes (Grade-1) Castle Bridge won and later it won the Mysore Derby. In the CTS race, ZENON finished 13th, more than 33 lengths behind Castle Bridge, Perfect Star and Olympia Fields.

Castle Bridge Rating is 94.
Zenon is 40.

Now you are saying ZENON has the class and pedigree. Your second choice IN THE STARS has just come out of maidens and rated 44. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE WASTING YOUR LIFE IN HORSE RACING...? QUIT RACING AND SAVE YOUR FAMILY.

Castle Bridge is unbeatable till 1600 mts.
He will not last the derby distance & the Bombay straight with his style of running.
lady in Lace & prevalent force will beat him hands down I feel over 2400 mts.

Cheers
Vishal

Watch out for ZENON has class has the pedigree.

Only danger is In the Star form Shapoor Mistry stable clocked the timing of class one in heavy rain at pune.

The two can surprise all of them also don't forget Manifold will bounce back

Castlebridge has reached his peak. It's not going to go ahead much. Yes as of now he is prime contender for the Indian Derby. But very rarely monsoon champs have delivered in all important winter season. More often then not new hero emerges on first sunday of february. Wait and watch.

Summer derby at Mumbai, Bangalore and at all other centres is 2400 meters so whether it stays is only a question my guess it will
