By Stop Fooling Punter | 15-Nov-2017
The hawks have had their way. No increase. The club is more dear to them.

Now Legal option many months to go for it to be solved.

What happens to the owners who have spent lakhs on horses feeding them .Where will they go?

Also 800 casual workers on the road

Dear friends

BTC was dead with the intro of GST long way back, BTC worsened things by manipulating dividends, even if at all racing resume at BTC, it is matter of months as big bettors have deserted with ever greedy BTC.
No one to blame except Btc mismanagement...
Goodbye

This is happened because of the previous Chairman and his team of stewards,They should be suspended from the club for giving false letter to the GOVT.promising them 50 free memberships.

The fact that BTC waited for 75 days to go to court shows clearly that level thinking in BTC is at a premium.

Today all courts are over burdened. Even GOVT appeals are taking many days to be listed.

Punters here are talking of about 1000 losing jobs .Telcom sector lost 20,000 jobs likely to lose 30,000 more.

So just forget BNG racing for the winter

Congrats to BTC for not cowing down to the demands of the govt., with elections around the corner, it is highly unlikely the govt. will antagonise the workers and punter community, pretty certain the govt. will eat humble pie and racing will commence probably within the next 6 weeks.

Some hard core fanatics love for racing( read loosing money daily) is unbelievable.
1200 are going to be jobless? Does it really matter?More than a lakh people have lost job after Plastic was banned in stores and restaurants, and else where. Are all of them dead? They have moved on in their life and so will 1200 employees of BTC.
Ban racing for ever and convert BTC in to a open park of international std and save more than 12,000 familiy heads who attend racing DAILY.
It's horrifying to see even youth in their twenties there. They form 75% of punters population. Ban is the only answer to save thousands of youth .
BTC is breeding criminals and unrest in society. One look at their face is enough to understand the harm the racing has already done to them.
Ban it.

BTC MAKE DELAY GOING TO HIGH COURT., AT LEAST THEY ASK HIGH COURT TO GIVE INSTRUCTION TO GOVERNMENT ON LICENCE ISSUE AND ASK GOVT TO SUBMIT CID REPORT IMMEDIATELY WITH OUT DELAY..IMMEDIATELY GET PERMISSION FOR AT LEAST OFF COURSE..

The 350 members (or at least 270) could have been more lenient.

OR

The Government could have granted license without insisting on 50 members. What the Government achieved by being stubborn? Racing halted.

Now, the negatives: 1200 tote clerks are rendered jobless. There is no chance of any alternate employment to these 1200.

Around 1500 people travel up to Mysore on daily basis.

Trainers, owners & jockeys based at Bangalore are the real sufferers.

Positives: The rest of the punters are inconvenienced; but a welcome change. Their losses are stopped. And they are happy. With 28% gst and 4% club tax, is it possible for any punter to be in plus? I do not think so.

Anyway, there may be exemptions. 1 or 2 percent. Who are making money regularly. Let them also go to Mysore.

In this State, racing was held at BNG/MYS. Now only at Mysore. No point in blaming either btc-members or the Government.

The Government repeatedly states that accommodating 50 members & granting license are not linked. The license is not granted only because of drug abuse in respect of Queen Lathifa. Should there be no limit to lies?

Dont bother, half of the Horses will be moved to Mysore,The rest will be split between Hyderabad and Chennai. Now the Tote Operators and those who work in the stalls or selling race books will have to look for a new way to survive.Lets not forget that Racing standards in Bangalore had fallen and the Punters were taken for a ride. The small time Punters will have escaped being driven to the ground with Tote collections after the GST having reached abysmal levels. The big timers will travel to Mysore on weekends to satisfy their urge to Punt.

There are no dearth of 'illiterate racing journalists' in India. They are frequently scoring themselves, making 'useless' 'irrelevant' comments against 350 members, The Chairman and his elected committee members, because they do not know the law of the land. They worried most because their ROZI ROTI was threatened due to stoppage of races at BTC. We are literate people, the Hon'ble Courts of the land have made landmark judgments at testing times in the past and helped the affected party, they will understand the plight of horses, owners, trainers, jockeys, workers and staff of the club. So why worry? It is time for the racegoers to rejoice...very soon the races will be back to Bangalore Track, positively this month itself. There wont be any much delay I assure you all, so wait and watch !
