@Manish and Krish,
I think it is a misconception that Ratings do not matter in Handicap Races.No doubt in Handicap Race Weights and Ratinga are aligned but it is the Rating that fixes the Handicap.Now how a horse gets Rated to a particular value.Except for the Maidens Race all other Ratings are computed based on the Results of Race with a rider that Handicapper's discretion also weighs in.In such a scenario it does happen that Rating assigned to a horse may be higher than warranted and this provides the scope for us to evaluate the chances of horses.
In Terms Race if the Weight differentials are narrow like tomorrow's Moorvi Cup race the horse with highest rating does have an advantage.On the other hand we have terms races for 4 years&above with a good range of Weights there Bottom Rated horse may have a chance.In Classics we have to bring all Ratings to a common Bottom Rating datum before we can comment on the relative advantages.
In tomorrow's Moorvi Cup race the Rating of Castlebridge has to be compared with other horses coming from Terms Race for 3 year olds only like Bateleur,Caprisca and Gallant Knight only after normalization.
Thanks.

Krish,

Racing does not mean anything in handicap races. because weights are assigned on the basis of rating.

But in terms race, a higher rated horse can benefit by competing against low rated horses and level weights or equal weights.

A high rated horse normally performs well in that case, unless the lower rated horse are on a upswing or are sparingly raced.

@ manish,

Rating will not help in race picks and just ignore. This is one of the tool to misguide and divert the attention of poor race players.

Have a great day!

Delhi hardly has mile races on the calendar. What Golden Girl says is right, it must be printing mistake.

I had also written a funny article on it. In my opinion, it would have won in Dubai, by a street

@Manish,It must be a misprint.The time, must be 1.41 which is the average time of Delhi horses for 1600 M.

A Delhi horse doing 1:14 over a mile, man what is this horse doing here, time to race overseas for this one for sure.
Well, on a serious note, Manish, which planet is this horse from?
