In Switzerland University of Basel recently conferred its Doctorate Degree to Ace Tennis Player Roger Federer for fetching good name and fame for Switzerland in the field of Tennis. Yes Federer deserves for his hard work.

I Think now our Telungana people will award Doctorate for Sindhu and Sania Mirza also sooner or later !!!!

In India we have given Doctorate for cine actors also . In that case we should consider awarding Doctorate Degree for Sportsmen also. If I remember correctly in Horse Racing only Jockey V.Shinde received an Arjuna Award from the State Government of Maharashtra.

If we consider giving Doctorate for Trainers my vote is for Trainer R.R.Byramjee. His contribution as a Trainer can never be matched by any other trainer in India in the near future. Of late he did not shine much but from 1975 on wards for 2 decades he was a leader !. As far as Jockey is concerned my vote is for B.Prakash although talent wise Aslam Khader also comes in Photo finish but in overall consideration as Punter Friendly Jockey Prakash stands as a winner ! Of course none of our University is going to award Doctorate for our Racing people just for fun I have put my my point.

Passion for winning takes every one towards negative direction winning by any way. Classic example I would like to cite in 2006 World Cup Foot Ball Final France and Italy were in final - I think place is Berlin I think so. Captain Zinadi Zidan was holding French team in tight reign. Italians were simply dancing before them. They could not move their ball as per their will. Italian Coach felt as long as Capt Zinadee Zidan is in the field no hope for italians. So he chalked out a plan and called his player Merci to get into quarrel with zidan somehow and see that he kicks him and in that case he must exagarate his suffering too much at least act as if all his bones have been crushed !! So the player obeyed his command and went close towards Zidan and pulled his jersey
Zinan told him that if he want his shirt he can give him after the match. Cunning player said - No I prefer your sister !!! That is sufficient for Zidan he gave him one good kick with his head. Player felldown deliberately and cried loud as per instruction as if all his chest bones have been fractured. He was taken out in stretcher. Refree sent Zidan out Italians felt happy and played with rejuvenation and created Penalty Kick and won the World cup final match when Zidan was out of the field.!!!
No doubt Italians won the 2006 World Cup but whole world felt the Cup is for France only !!! Zidan was honoured in his country. Like our Steward Enquiry enquiry was ordered by the Authorities and as usual vanished in Air with compromise with each other.
