Japan cup 2017 Winner on Cheval Grand - Australian Champion Jockey Hugh Bowman has been elected as the World's Best Jockey for the year 2017 and he will be crowned in Hongkong next week. He won 10 Races in the World"s Top 100 Class - I Races in different countries.
There is 10, including the Japan Cup, on the list of the Longines Top 100 races but there are others in Australia that weren't in the list."
For the record, Bowman has ridden 16 Group 1s this year, moving his career tally to 75.
He has earned the title via victories in 10 of the Top 100 races around the globe, edging out reigning champion Ryan Moore.

Hunter funny comment from you. Yash is sooo good that all the owners in his fathers yard have banned him from riding their horses. There must be a reason for that... He’s lucky if anybody gives him a ride until he cleans up.

You are correct. Winx only made him a Global Champion. His riding on Cheval Grand in Japan Cup is indeed at par excellence. Last year Japan Cup Race Cheval Grand came third.After viewing the Video Replay of the last year Japan cup and looking at the present improved condition of the horse he felt that the horse Cheval Grand will have a good chance. Australian Book Maker offered 13/1 for the Winner Cheval Grand.
Our No Annamosity is again running on 2nd December at Doomben Race Course The Trainer feels that the Horse will again win for the 4th Time.
I feel picking up the winner and the dividend etc., are very attractive. With the fact provided by the media picking up winner is appears to be very easy. Book Makers are giving generous odds. There is a saying in Hindi - Apna gar ka dhanya kaya huva murgi kahan jayagi apne paas vapas jaroor aayegi ! Book Makers there beleive this principle so they give generous odds.
Trevor won 4 races in a row in Mumbai Look at the odds given by Mook Makers. One reader correctly said they should have handed over the trophy to the owners at the acceptance stage only ! Why to conduct race at all !!!

Last year I was in Melbourne from mid April till October and went to Flemington a few times.
I saw Bowman riding a few horses and now I recollect that on one day when I had 3 winners ,Two were ridden by Bowman.
I think he is middle aged ,plus 50.
Obviously,it was possible for him to win the Champion trophy due to many wins on Winx.

In my opinion, jockey is as good as his horse.
So the criterial of winning number of mounts is no criteria.
I feel, the best jockey should go to the professional, who could attract the extra bit on the horse.

No chance for our Indian jockey ...they are busy in India in pulling and eating punters money ...they are dancing on the owner and club orders...
And I think winx this wonder filly shud awarded as horse of the year...
