False News And False Favorites...

By Chanakya | 28-Nov-2017
Today in two newspapers- Times of India and Hindustan times, FULL page advertisements were published about FALSE NEWS spread/published/dis-seminated/ distributed etc. on media and various other modes of 'public information systems'...

The advertisement also gave methods to distinguish between FALSE AND REAL NEWS!?
Are/were these methods effective/useful- not known?

In horse racing field we find 20,30, sometimes 100 'EXPERTS' putting their 'claim to fame' by posting tips.
Some of them are so DEDICATED/HONEST that they post tips for ALL THE CENTERS of India...

Winning or losing is an essential part of this game of 'skill'- but trying to be an EXPERT TIPSTER for ALL racing centers sends a different message...

@ Mythbuster,

Providing 'Free service' also puts an onus or a responsibility on a person/group/organisation to ensure that the service is 'true/impartial/ unbiased' etc....

Experience, knowledge and success are relative terms - only correct use and implementation will produce result (i.e. success)...

I've seen people with 50+ years experience failing and novices (youngsters) with few months experience, winning at races. of course, over a longer period who is a winner is a different point...

My point is, as a tipster if you say X is going to win then you must explain why he/she should win...

Chanakyaji,

It is a free for all here. Anybody who gives tips here is taken to be doing a free service to the racing fraternity irrespective of his experience, knowledge or success rate. So, it is not to be taken too seriously.

Are you targeting Dharmesh for tipping TIMELESS his day's best?
Really, you are sadist, always making POST RACE COMMENTS insulting others.
How many times your tips failed, still you want to forget those things and target others with hidden agenda.

1. You said..."tipsters appearing and disappearing under different pseudonyms. PLEASE NAME THEM IN HT.

2. You said..."I DO NOT OFFER FREE TIPS. I have done this in the past". TELL US WHEN YOU LAST GIVEN US WINNING TIPS?

3. You said...'Tipsters claim ..... 'Bank of England' and enticing and fooling punters to bet on favourites. Dont forget Mohit Lalwani was the first one to COIN THIS SLOGAN 'BANK OF ENGLAND' for BE SAFE before the the Indian Derby in an article in Indiarace.com, and it WON. In the Invitation he did not make any comments in IR. Some Horse Talkers used this 'term' sometime won sometime failed. Do you know any tipster giving 100% successful tips? Name them.

4. How easy to make comments about R.No.22 (Frosty) after the race. Don't you feel there is a vast difference between an amateur and a more experienced person like you, but every time you make cheap and insulting comments on others? Why?

5. Lastly, do you think "ALL the favourites lost in the past" were false favourites? No 'hera-pheri' in racing.. all trainers are "pristine white like milk" (doodh ke dhule)..? and the Tipsters are responsible for ALL SINS here?

@ Prinit, Manish, Mythbuster,

Yes, it helps; of course it is only their opinion based on their perception; and they are giving it free is a fact.

But claims- 'sell your house - to bet'; 'un-beatable' ;'bank of England' and other statements, urging, enticing and fooling punters to bet on a favorite is not the 'job' of free, frank and 'impartial' tipsters - appearing and disappearing under different pseudonyms...

@ all,

A tip given by a professional, amateur,free-loader or a 'distractor' has some value depending on the perception/understanding of the receiver/reader...

I DO NOT OFFER FREE TIPS. I have done this in the past. I DON'T HAVE TO DO IT EVERY TIME TO PROVE MYSELF...
If you disagree, then prove your point with PROOF...

NOW, TO PROVE the fallacy of a 'false' favorite-look at race no 22 of Mumbai meeting on yesterday,30 November, 2017.

Frosty(11/1) won the race beating two joint favorites- Timeless and Unforgettable You(UU) both offered at 5/4 and 7/4...

Timless, running with sprinters was brought down from 18/10 to 5/4, and made a favorite for a long distance race without any 'good to better' track work or track performance...
Another favorite - Unforgettable You-had the credentials and a good track work for the distance- went up from 5/4 to 7/4 ' creating confusion' for a'clueless' punter...

Frosty, matching strides with CLASSIC runners was neglected and was available at 12/1...

HOW MANY OF YOU WILL RISK YOUR 'TENNER' ON THIS MOUTH WATERING OPPORTUNITY...
NONE, I'M SURE...

Frosty won the race proving the PUNDITS/ EXPERTS and novices to 'look the other way'...

BUT 3 OR 4 AMATEUR TIPSTERS DID GIVE FROSTY AS THEIR FIRST CHOICE...

WHY? ask them...

Chanakya saab,

Don't you know they are doing the noble work of helping others free of cost? In the bargain if any readers lose it is their bad luck.

The tips given in this site by fellow punters are just their opinions. All of them are not tipsters.

So dont confuse between the two.

As usual the lead post has no head or tail. No idea what the author wants to convey or imply. True, not everyone has Millionaire Skills.

Observed for the last few days, htiers are not interested to give their selections for almost all the centres. To i had seen only 3 had posted their selections for delhi races and 18 postings for kolkata. Earlier i used to see almost all the experts wants to participate. Why they are keeping mum.And seems to be they are not showing much attention, due to the implimentation of GST 28% which is not affordable by the so called experts. Racing in india almost lost its glory. And few trainers had become a syndycate and manipulating the races. And stewards are simply sitting in the AC rooms and making money by the way of betting with colluding the owners and the trainers. Due to the reason they unable to take any action against the tainers as well as the riders. With this type of attitude from the authorities, I dont think horse racing will survive in india any more.
