Two Issues - False Rails & S.a. Amit

By Mad Max | 04-Dec-2017

I have a doubt why Apprentice S.A. Amit is the preferred jockey of trainers having small strings of horses. Most of the time the Stewards initiate inquiry against the trainers and questioning the Improved Performance of the horses. For example:-

Pune R.NO. 188 - JULIANO (Trainer Sanjay Kolse) - ENQUIRY HORSE INTO THE IMPROVED PERFORMANCE.

Read the Report below:
The Stipendiary Stewards reported that they had questioned Trainer Sanjay Kolse in the above connection. He said that in Race No.150 the horse ran in a lower class and he had claimed 5 kg. allowance and fancied the horse very strongly. However, the conditions on that day were a bit different, in that, it was overcast and humid and the Penetrometer reading was 3.8 with wide 7 metres false rails from the 700 metres to the winning post. He said that after that race the Jockey had informed him that the horse jumped out well but all the way he was trying to veer out as such he could not ride him out and coming into the straight the horse fizzled out. He said that the horse returned sore after that race and was treated. The video recording of Race No.150 was viewed and Trainer Sanjay Kolse pointed out that the horse was trying to go out and he has shown this tendency even in the previous races. He added that when the horse ran in Race No.188 the weather was cool and there were false rails of only 1 metre from the 1000 metres to the Winning Post. He said that in this race he had specifically instructed Jockey S. A. Amit to keep the whip in the left hand. He said that the horse tried to veer out in this race as well but the Jockey corrected him and gave him a couple of reminders from the left and his handling and riding suited the horse the best. He said that he had fancied the horse both the times but he was stronger in the previous start. Thereafter, the video recording of Race No.36 was viewed. Trainer Sanjay Kolse said that in this race it was the first run of the horse during the Pune Meeting 2017 and he was running in a higher class but he ran a good race. It was pointed out to Trainer Sanjay Kolse that though the horse has drifted out in this race also, it was more to do with the riding and no fault of the horse, to which he agreed. Having heard the submissions made, viewing the video recording of all the races concerned and scrutinizing the betting sheets, the explanation tendered by Trainer Sanjay Kolse was noted.

Mumbai R.No. 28 - ROYAL CLASSIC (Trainer Adhiraj Sing Jodha). Against the Trainer, an enquiry initiated and the report is below against the IMPROVED PERFORMANCE of his HORSE.

Read the report below:
The Stipendiary Stewards reported that they had questioned Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha in the above connection. He was shown the Calendar Notification “Re: Horses winning within a short span of time” and asked to explain the improved performance of his charge ROYAL CLASSIC in a short span of ten days. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha said that the gelding was at longer odds. He said that the two fancied runners viz. WILSHIRE and BEYOND FORCES who finished 2nd and 3rd in Race No.28 were still maidens and may have lacked fitness because of the longish gap which could be the reason for his charge winning the race. He added that ROYAL CLASSIC won in Div.I in a weaker set of horses and if it had run in Div.II, he could have not even finished 2nd/3rd. The Stipendiary Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, however, keeping in mind that the horse was at longer odds, they took a lenient view and fined him a sum of Rs.10,000/- for contravention of the Calendar Notification “Re : Horses winning within a short span of time”.

Mumbai R.No.35. KING OF KILLEN - Ridden by S.A. Amit (Trainer C.Rajendra)
This horse won in controversial manner, and the raging public is pouring their attack against P.Trevor in HT for the loss of hot favourite Angels Touch. Surprisingly there is no Inquiry against C.Rajendra for the improved performance of his horse King of Killen.

MY QUESTIONS TO HORSE TALKERS?

1. Is S.A. Amit is GAMBLERS preferred jockey? Your opinion please !

2. Another important thing is Trainer Sanjay Kolse explained more effectively during inquiry about FALSE RAILS and PENETROMETER. As we are told by the Club the False Rails are measured with a Rodometer and the distances are adjusted and the starting stalls are placed accordingly. Due to this, most of the handicapping students believe no horses travelling extra distances, in other words, no advantage of disadvantage to horses because of false rails. If so, then why the trainer taken up false rails as a point and the stewards were satisfied with the explanation.

3. I think with the Rodometer the Clubs are cheating the race goers! Hence we should treat this subject seriously in our study and adjust the distances as per the false rails placed. Slogan next: Ignore Rodometer and study False Rails.

@ Manish

Yes... the whole world knows there is nothing in the betting sheets. Only 10% of the bets are recorded in the Betting Sheets. Other bets are recorded elsewhere in Codes. These stewards learned the tricks the Somalian Pirates !

What is this drama of scrutinising betting sheets.

Its obvious the only RWITC BETTING SHEETS would be taken into account. And even a layman knows that the betting done by trainer and connections are never in the home centre....

Generally we study penetrometer , 4 rating down and 2 kgs down, timing for the same distance, in classic ,million ,

so many times i have observed this understanding between these two stables/owners
when other horses in that race does not have winning chances.

Mr. Mad max for what There should be enquiry against C. Rajender. What will stewards ask him.will they ask him how ur your horse won after finishing board out in its last three starts.only king of Killen has average form in that bunch. It's not Trevor's mistake or Rajenders mistake.its your mistake on playing horse which is not in form.

Kudos Mad Max...whatever important arguments or testimonies you have cited will have no effect on the prevalent malpractices practice by the management and jockey's. Its short lived..public have a tendency to forget Nowadays, realistically there are few beggars at the railway stations in Mumbai but more beggar jockeys at the race course. It's a shame... secondly, RWITC is turning out to be epitome of corruption under any management...new or old.

Its obvious some eminent personalities have distant themselves from the RWITC premises only the scoundrels loiter around.
