"In view of the recent rains in the city, the Stewards of RWITC have decided to cancel the races scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2017, except the Spartan Poker Indian 1000 Guineas (Gr.1) which is now scheduled to be run on Saturday, December 16.

There will be three days of racing next week, Thursday 14th December, Saturday 16th December (1000 Guineas) and Sunday 17th December (2000 Guineas). The prospectus for 16th December will be published tomorrow.


The heavy rains which lashed Mumbai city on Monday and Tuesday due to Ockhi cyclone has left the race track and sand track waterlogged for the last three days.

Since Monday the horses have not come out of stables for their preparatory exercise in the morning owing to slushy conditions. The Club Officials have informed that the bund schools and sand tracks would be opened for trotting of the horses on Friday 8th December."
