Just applying for license in the new format does not guarantee license. Hope you understood the Judge's order. Committee has to be formed, BTC have to agree then racing resumes. Dont't talkout of the hat as though you visit BTC everyday and know what's happening.

Set aside the rumours. BTC has already applied for the License as per the SPECIFIED "NEW" FORMAT. They are hopeful of starting operation this month itself.

Heard from sources that BTC mandarins haven't been able to get an audience with the Finance Secretary till now. It is heard that there is no meeting is possible until December 26. Under the circumstances, there is no possibility of racing resuming on the tentative date of December 29. Racing enthusiasts may have to wait for more time for their favourite sport to begin Bangalore thanks to the members who have no interest in the sport and no stake as well. The government should at least impose cover charges on members who don't own horses so that only interested people will take membership.

You should address your to Mad Max, why you throws balloons without hydrogen? Argue with me face to face. You are being exposed time and again of your ignorance on Court matters. Shame on you people like blame BTC delaying SLP in Supreme Court...? What a tamasha this... dont you know Civil matters take its time - SLP will be heard like any civil matter when the merits of the case would be argued by either side. The case will come up before the SC in due course. Going by the length of the queue of civil suits, this may take a few years at least? I am sure, the BTC will come out victorious no doubt about it? Without giving alternate FREE land, compensation to make a race course, and sufficient time to relocate the Government cannot oust the the Club from present location. In India all High Courts are facing the wrath of Supreme Court, and on appeals, SC is overturning High Court orders regularly, this is a scenario very alarming how lower courts works.

PS BTC has been delaying the special leave petition in the supreme Court, if their case was that strong why not hurry and get it what you are asking[How many years I have lost count may be 7to 09 yrs.]

BTC Chairman Harimohan Naidu told UNI on 15th Dec that he would comment on
the court order only after reading the 'fine prints'. He however said the Club was ready to conduct races at a short notice. The racing track was kept in 'ready to race' condition and races can be conducted within a notice of 10 days. (Courtesy)

After reading the full order Harimohan Naid told to Bangalore Mirror:

“It is a good order. To gain licence and start racing was our priority and the court order has brought the sport back on track.”

It was a big relief to the racing professionals who were under pressure to shift base after the government held back the licence on September 1.

“With no activities for more than 100 days, it was tough. Now that the decks are cleared, we can breathe easy,” said a leading trainer while disclosing that he was under immense pressure and was exploring options to shift base.

BTC steward Uday Eshwaran, while admitting that the government still called the shots, said, “Well, in the interest of the sport, hopefully, the government will honour the interim order.”

Do you know the High Court had ordered issue of notice to the State Government on the petitions filed by BTC alleging that the government is not renewing its licence for EXTRANEOUS CONSIDERATIONS. That the Government had insisted on admission of 50 nominees as Club Members as a condition for granting of License under the Mysore Race Courses Licensing Act 1952, the BTC had contended that the action of the Government in seeking such admission is contrary to its Articles of Association and also in violation of Articles 19(1)(a) and 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India.

Do you know the Hon'ble High Court did not accept the government’s claim that the BTC had not filed application in the proper format, and pointed out that such a claim was not appropriate when the government, over a period of time, granted license on similar applications. Therefore the application, already filed by the BTC, would require consideration one way or the other in accordance with the law !

WHY YOU PEOPLE ARE STILL STRUCK ON A SINGLE WORD "CONSIDER" THE HC USED IN THEIR ORDER...WHEN THE JUDGE USED 1232 WORDS TO WRITE HIS FULL ORDER. WHY THE JUDGE DID NOT SEND A ONE LINER TO THE GOVERMENT - LIKE "...REQUEST GOVERNMENT PLEASE CONSIDER ISSUING LICENSE TO BTC ?" Do you think the Judge wasted his time and energy in writing such a long order, and it has no meaning?

Do you know, the BTC claims that the land was allotted by the Maharaja of the erstwhile Mysore State for racing, the government had converted it into a lease of 30 years in 1983. The government terminated the lease and asked the BTC to vacate in 2009. The decision was upheld by the High Court but BTC challenged in the Supreme Court...? Originally BTC land was a grant and not a lease. The claims of BTC being a grantee are refuted by the government as a lease agreement was also executed.

Mr. Harimohan Naidu, Chairman, BTC told The Hindu immediately after the Supreme Court admitted their SLP, “We will continue racing on the land as the status quo will remain till the Supreme Court disposes the civil dispute. We will not take up any construction on the site.”

You are a gentleman having sufficient racing knowledge ( Time and again you have proved )- at times a bit arrogant ( well - as long as your assessment is going right..all of us will surely accept this arrogance as it is coming out from an overconfident person ). See you have good number of followers who would be eagerly waiting for your tips.You have been successful in building up a good image of yourself in this site. ( I am one of your strong followers).

Racing is unlikely to start anytime in the near future until and unless the BTC members make a sudden u-turn and agree with the government's proposal (which is highly unlikely). The government has only been requested to "consider" granting a license to BTC!!! So as previously posted, well done to the legal team @BTC for extremely poor advice and to each and every BTC member who agreed with the same and voted in favour of legal action rather than seeking to negotiate an amicable agreement/settlement with government which would have undoubtedly been the best option for all concerned (apart from the BTC members themselves). Conflict of interest anyone ???

Dont read the Order published by Professional Racing Journalists in their article, they have added few points to suit their requirements. Indiarace.com has published the Court Order in to-to please read it. Court has given 10 days time to the Government to form a committee with the consultation of the BTC and issue license to BTC... yes it is 10 days from the date of order, precisely the time frame allowed is ending on 25th December. Horse racing is coming under the authority of the State Governments and hence they are the Competent Authority... not the Court, Court can only order to implement. During the arguments the Advocate General said the Government was ready to issue license had BTC applied on specified format. So wait and watch. One more thing this is only an interim relief, the hearing will continue and the Court will dispose off the case at a later stage with a final order. So till then there are no winners.

Secondly, what is the need of telling Club's internal matters to the GENERAL public or RACING public. Employees of the Club are aware of what is going on inside, so is their members, owners, trainers, jockeys and other workers. As far as racing public is concerned they are no stake holders of the Club, their job is IF THE GATES OPEN AND BETTING IS ALLOWED go inside with bulging purses and return home with empty pockets. That is what happening for Adam's days.

Chairman of BTC has not come out and given any interview till now after court's order. How shocking. He is incharge of club and it his duty to tell public and the club's employees what is expected and when.
