Goshawk has been a losing as favourite since its 1st run,the only people who made money from this horse are those who lay favourites.....
Concentrating on a day's card should yeild better results than following a particular horse and having a proper betting plan should enable us to make some decent money or minimise our losses.....

Someone has posted a thread regarding goshawk that play this horse whenever he run he will win...I think abbas j has posted this thread ...after that thread this over hyped got abroad horse ran 2 times both time fav this time less than half money and beaten both times ....I think the one who has posted the thread regarding goshawk will available for the reply and clarification ...

One more added to the list BATELEUR don't know how many victims of today .....feeling sorry for Indian racing ...no chance to improve just quit quit quit...I ddnt played the horse i was at home just sitting and watching the game of shroff and his puppet vishal gaikwad....

I think multitude was beaten fair and square by Jack Frost (who has run with the best). Although I did fancy JF (a bit), I neither had the heart nor the courage to back against Multitude!!! It seems to be a better option to just sit back and watch races rather than to bet at such cramped odds!

There are genuine many private bookies, in all the centers,in India . earlier i was dealing with many.compare to outside betting ring betting negligible
But to my advanced age ,Now i am focusing in Hyderabad only.
If you stand in the center of the ring of Hyderabad ,you will find many,though i am not coming to ring or race course due to ill health.
I dont know you are from which center ,if you are from Hyderabad i can introduce one genuine guy,one lack ,two lacks very easily he takes,but you have to keep money with him in advance,in my case i always keep 4 or 5 lacks with him , if i loose/win in the particular week , every Tueday settlement.
there are all options ,play with tax, play without(zero)same way place also ,at the same time you can lay also.
Earlier ,i was having credit withprivate bookies ,settlement on every Monday,in those days i was loosing like mad.

what is wrong on plying on lower odds, if it is 60 p above if it is big bet is that not advisable??, Of course if that is big bet.
I played on 65/100 with out tax in six figures.
Yes, all the horses are not multitudes, here the concern the way it ran ,and these things do/will happen in racing ,we have to take into our stride and move forward.
By the by,i am one of the biggest looser in hoses racing ,playing from past (close to) 50 years and i haven't seen single friend or acquaintances of mine or owners who knows me won in racing so far in the long run.(who all are very biggest bettors in Indian racing circuit)

Owners had two horses sweet Music and Multitude.in Sweet Music race Trevor was made favourite,but SM won.next race Multitude favourite Trevor won the race.its all set up racing.the new import can win but wht abt other horses Evesham and Shivalik story both were finishing close to Multitude in their meet.dame thing last week happend in kolkata.just I m giving to think by punters.any owners/ trainers will first think top jockey service if they think their ward is ready to strike,coz they wud not want to take any risk.but that horse was given to Kamble and Alford was riding in another horse which was made favourites.uktimately Kamble horse win trained by Ayshan Doctor for whom Alford is regular rider.si they set up races to fetch good odds.

I am really sorry that you have plated Multitude at a very low odds. What you could have gained even if the Horse won the Race. Please avoid atleast in future betting at a very low odds and also highly favorite horse. One horse can not win all the time. Multitude already won 5 Times. When a horse is fancied too much and considered as UNBEATABLE one then Be safe effect takes place with the collaboration with all vested interests.
What puzzled me was why Trainer Vijay Singh changed his Jockey from John to Imran. Is that Vijay Singh was impressed by Imran's riding in the previous races . It was a really an insult to the Jockey John. It is absolutely NOT FAIR on the part of Vijay Singh to change the Jockey at the last moment
One way I feel that Imran could have misjudged the pace as everybody says here.
Whatever it may be Azim bhai please avoid betting high amount with very low odds. Please follow Imran Chisty in his next few rrides you can recover your loss. I assure you. He is a reliable and dependable Jockey. I have watched his ridin in the Marutious Turf Club Video Replay. He was declared as Champion there. Just because he lost one Race please do not discard him or neglect gim. You can surely recover your loss. Just take it that your investment is carried forward and NOT LOST.

I had mentioned in my post that punters will loose on this horse as he had won many times on cramped odds, I thought Eversham will beat if they plan Multitude to loose, but it was the other way so that punters don't have a valid point that Multitude loosing to Eversham.
I had a each way bet on Eversham and lost.

Well said, Doctor. That is racing wisdom. It is tough call to interpret the shrewd moves of the Bookies. When the Bookie refused to give Evesham and was ready to give Jack Frost it means that some smart money has come on Jack Frost, which he was ready to off load. At race time and moments to go, it calls for quick thinking, which most of us get cold feet and make wrong decision. At such times, which is quite often, it would be wise to walk away. Of course, easier said than done

I have been watching from many years horses which runs at odds less than evens bookies play around with the odds sometimes giving an impression the horse is being backed only to fool us,so avoid playing bets below even money but if you are playing in place then it's fine.
Sometimes we see odds raised from evens to 5-1 or 6-1 and still wins the race,though we want to bet on such horses we stay away simply because we feel the horse is not on job.bookies are there to do their business its up to us to chose our bets and play within our limits.enjoy races and best wishes

Simple returns very poor chances of losses more.
2 centers Cal AND MYS totally avoid these odds on favs.

This is not the first time that such an on money horse has lost( neither it will be the last time ).
The very fact that Bookmakers were liberally offering 6/10 for Multitude, was itself an indication that something is fishy.In this company over this distance and at this weight, Multitude shouldnt have run at more than 35 or 40 paise.
My advice - whenever an on money horse runs at a price higher than what it deserves,please stay away from such bet. According to me Bookmakers are the shrewdest people in racing. They will never offer 1 paisa more than what a horse deserves ( if it is likely to win ) and they are always liberal in offering odds whenever there is a good chance for the horse to lose!!!
I asked for a lay bet on Evesham- Bookmakers reply was - Evesham not available- If I want he is willing to give Jackfrost !!! I cant say whether there was something wrong with Multitude ( or it has been hooked ). But People who knew that it it is going to lose successfully made their packet.

Dear All,
It is sheer mis judgement by Imran,multitude comes from behind ,he has a terrific burst for 200 to 250 meters which jockey has to utilised,and that is what jhon was doing all the time.He should have waited till 250 meters,rather he was travelling 2nd after the bend and he started unleashing his speed immediately.Note he responded wery well and before 50 to 75 meters from he ran out of steam.Jack frost took advantage and sailed passed him.

I think u r new in racing or trying to be over smart everyone here comes in a race course with the hope of earn some money buddy..some of them may win some of them may loss it's a part and parcel of this industry..
It's not a question of 50 paisa raj many people played this horse on his merit whether it's 50 paisa or more that that money is money ..according to u they all r fools by the way the odds where went upto 70 paisa in Delhi OK ..
U r the one who tipped allora over anacapri and when u got ur foot in a mouth than u posted that u played anacapri one peti the odds of anacapri was 80 paisa...tell me the difference between 80 paisa and 70 paisa ....only 10 paisa...so u r also fool ..in racing no one is perfect whether it's u or me ...
I have seen the people who regularly play at the odds of 60 paisa bets in lakhs...

At Kolkata do not back on-money favorites. A win will give pea nuts.
At Bombay, Bangalore also the on money favorite gives you pea nuts only. However, at these two centers the strike rate of on-money favorite is far better than that of kolkata.
If you cannot resist the urge to bet, then buy forecast/trinella for 200/300.

I mentioned in the other thread ,the ride is pathetic without judgement,may be his bosses instructed to ride like that,yesterday Multitude is far superior to jack frost , odds-on are curse for racing.

I'm really sorry that you backed the small-money favourite Multitude heavily (all that you had in your pocket?, only to see the horse losing pathetically. Whether Jack Frost is merited to defeat the favourite is not the question, but whenever you have a hugely-expected animal like Multitude (second to Sergeant At Arms) in a reasonably poor field like this, it's always necessary to first look for its loss. It has been happening in many races. There are countless reasons for such defeats. But who wants to hear them since our money has already gone under the drain! There's no gain in blaming the rider since Imran Chisty is fairly a decent jockey in the given circumstances. You don't how genuine, seasoned punters feel when such favourites lose for no valid reason. The best thing to do in the given circumstances is to control your emotions, and keep that money safe for another race where the stakes are not so high.

Who on earth weeps over the loss of 50 paise horse?which punter benefits such odds? You played 50 paise horse is too bad. After tax how much you would u have earned?
Kindly resist playing such odds. Let it win. There are thousands of races in a year to play and earn.
Assuming that it's just give and taking back profit after 2 minutes has ruined many. Never ever play where one horse is at 50/100 and rest are above 5/1. No owner wants to win at 50/100 unless it's a Derby or equivalent or there is huge prize money.

I am new to writing or replying to the posts here. Would like to join you guys here to enhance my knowledge.
My understanding of multitude losing this race here for the following reasons.
Though I guessed Jack Frost to win in this race yet I did not dare to bet.
I thought jack frost might go start to finish to win the game as it was in the front group of runners in all the previous longer distance races.
However, Trevor was brilliant to keep the animal cool at end of tge bunch until he finds the straight.
Jack Frost was in 3rd 2nd or 4th in the previous events.
This time by saving energy it wasn't a difficult task for the horse to excellerate in the straight so it won.
Not just that below are my observation for the loss of Multitude.
1) first and foremost reason: Over Confidence of Imran Chisty after crossing Evesham, because as per race card Multitude and Evesham were only better performers as per course and distance records.
2) Trevor's riding was awesome.
3) Jack Frost as a longer race horse had all the stamina saved to fight rest of the bunch in the climax run to cross the post.
4) Galloping at right time and pace enabled the horse pip the leader much before winning post.
5) Resting: Jack Frost got a reasonably good rest time since September whereas Multitude and Evesham were had frequent runs.
In my view it was a very good race. Genuine race. I believe Only trainer knew the capacity of Jack Frost.
Just my opinion.

Multitude was beaten fair and square. Can't fault Imran on his riding. Today Jack Frost was the better horse. After watching the replay, that is how I see it. Maybe wrong or maybe ----?

Azim, I have been reading your posts for some time now so giving a couple of facts about Kolkatta races.
The Kolkata straight is a very short straight probably shorter than Pune.
This course is suited to horses who have a good turn of foot and a short burst at the end.
E.g. Dandified won a 1200 meter race here and then finished 3rd in the invitation cup over 2400 meters.
Rest leave you to figure out.
