The only two horses deserve to be considered here is Yanna Rascala and Batelur.
Or is there a third horse???????
Batelur seems to be over whelming favorite at cramped odds.
But YR can not be ruled out. After all it is from Shroffs yard and has the benefit of run and Trevor is riding it and tracking well.
I would rather take a small bet( say 25k) (May be pay back for huge profit Shroff gave on Tenmerity )instead of that cramped odds on Batelur.
Just curious about YR chances compared to Batelur. Or should one save money?????
Or jump on Batelur if the odds are fair ,in the sense at least 80/100.
Your views please.

Thanks MM. This shoeing information being such critical data,giving an indication of the health of the horse, IR.com would do well to give such information as and when available to them. Most of us, I believe no longer depend on race books for their study of the races.
Hope IR will look at this aspect.

BFBS, BFEB, BFHB, BFST are the few abbreviations seen in Race Books, all are related to Horse Shoes... precisely various BAR SHOES. At the declaration stage the Clubs announce the shoes in FULL FORMS however these are abbreviated in Clubs Web Card and race book publishers.
BFBS: Both Fore Bar Shoes
(Both Fore means Both Front legs, Both Hind means Both Back legs)
Bar shoes are named for the extra “bar†on the back of the shoe, which allows for more support in the back of the hoof, heel and leg.
BFEB: Both Fore Egg Bar Shoes
Egg bar shoes offer even more support than bar shoes, since they extend beyond the heel. They are often used for horses that suffer from navicular syndrome.
BFHB: Both Fore Heart Bar Shoes

I played YR . The reason being it was my 1 st choice for reasons mentioned. Another reason being it was backed heavily from 2/1 to 16/10.
Batelur is a classic pretender as Rahul71 said.
More ever when MM and Dharmesh days best was YR it's foolish to play Batelur.
Appreciate your concern as to where my money went.
I left to USA after playing heavily on YR. But will play on phone and post at HT as long as I get WiFi and timings permit.

bcoz bateleur odds went up to may be even money ..and u mentioned that if odds will more than 80 paisa u would jump to bateleur.hopefully u ddnt jump on bateleur..

Seeing the varying comments my humble advice.
Skip this race. GAIKWAD is a proxy of pessi[due to RWITC limits of horses with a trainer]in fact some times their horses tracked together.
See what happened last week on 2 yr olds also same owners..
Any way heavy bettors can reduce their bets if still want to bet.
My money a small bet on S.C. each way

YR was a failed fav @95 p, today odds would be around 2 :1
Secondly 3y olds vs 4y old. 4y old is more consistent than 3y old.
Tracks are good. everything points out at YR. go for win....
In fact with P Trevor up the confidence level is high. He should ride atleast 4 winners today and place in all other.

There is no harm in taking a chance on YANNA RASCALA because of Pesi + Trevor + Kishore Dhingra combination VERSUS Pesi's other Big Owners. This horse has long strides can steal the thunder if allowed to run freely on the outside.
BATELEUR is a 3 year old, won R.No. 63 with Aluminium shoes.
Thereafter Won R.No. 182 with Aluminium Shoes + DRB.
Today running WITH ALUMINIUM SHOES + DRB + BFST....?
I think the BFST is "added" unnecessarily, because previous victory was by 3 lengths. This is only my doubt. I can be wrong.

The Edgar Deslyva Trophy to be run over 1400 mts appears to be a two horse race. Yana Rascala from the Shroff stables and Classic pretender Batteleur who has run in the 2000 Guineas appear to hold the edge. Still I feel Yanna Rascala who was running for first time in Mumbai giving weight to in form Gazino should prevail as the distance 1400 mts suits him.
