What is the fate of BTC?

I think we all here are now totally helpless.

Some here over confident over the start have bit the dust trying to pull down few of us WHY?.

Please understand it is big game and all of us are pawns. Frankly no one seems to a real idea,what is going on

News coming in is that the Cm is not happy with the comittee that has being formed. How far this true I don't know. Surely after the government formed the committee it had CM's approval and only license was pending to be signed. Two from BTC names already known. I don't think there is problem there. 4 from government already named. Is there a problem here. It's a make or break week else Summer season is over for sure.

The composition of the monitoring committee is said to be the reason for the delay in BTC getting the license. Things could crystallize in the next few days.

Gambling is not the priority for CM he will be busy with other activities.We need to wait till he takes decision.

There r 3 type of People Gud Bad and Ugly .I wished them all with a Gem of a tips wishing Happy and Prosperous New year but unfortunately let them dream and wait as I had postpone my wish till Makar Sankrati .

freedom,cannot wait to become hostages again,like somebody said it is being jailed without being behind bars,happy new year

50,000 votes! No problem. The family of those 50000 will contribute double votes to the Government. Even considering that races are held regularly, the entire 50000 en-masse will not be voting one party.

Today Sunday. So, no New Year Gift. Tomorrow, he will be doubly busy. Meetings, meetings & meetings. Races not priority.

We expected license as early as 19th or 20th December. In any case not later than 25th December. When it was not forthcoming even on 25th, it is better to wait till the license comes. It could be next week, or next month!

Court has given its decision. No question of disrespect to Court. On one word "consider" the CM can drag the issue indefinitely. So, no purpose will be served even if 10 more PILs are filed.

Wait. OR travel to Mysore. No races even if all employees scream or beg. Do not talk about punters. How many punters can go on strike?

The Government displayed its might. I traveled to Mysore for some days. But, when learnt that the journey strain and cash loss was too much of cost for the "entertainment" that I get, I simply stopped.

Racing till June 30th was somewhat exciting. There were good opportunities to make money. Even if our bet was lost, that amount was invested with a hope to double or treble the investment. But, with GST, the equation is heavily loaded against the punters. You get 10,11 or max 12 rupees dividend for place on first and second favorites. For win, a 2/1 horse gives you max 20/-. For what good cause you should be so keen on resumption of races. The CM or his assistants may not even read this blog.

I am repeatedly telling that no races means huge savings. 4 months no races. If at BNG there are live races or IVB definitely I will visit the turf club. If not, I will enjoy the cool winter. You can also follow that. Mysore option can be exercised on week-ends.

it is simply amazing that some here think he will lose because of racing.

Even I think his days are numbered but that is because of national tide is against him.

Any amount of curses will not change the scene of damage already done.

Why do some keep harping on PIL, 4 months have gone past and none of these so called thousands effected have done so.

The Licensing Authority is the State Government, not the Court. Everyone knows this, and the Court has reiterated this in their interim order. But the Court has the supreme power to question the government as to why the license has yet been issued in spite of having the Club submitted the Application as per required format? If the Hon'ble Court is convinced the Govt is deliberately delaying the process, then the HC may issue specific Order in favour of the club asking the Government issue license within a specified time. I dont think the CM will wait to see such an eventuality.

The Government's Advocate has already informed the Court, the BTC has not applied for the license in the Specified Format, and if they apply they are ready to give the license. The CM can delay it under one pretext or another, but he cannot refuse the license if the Club has submitted the Appln. as per specified format. There is a chance, if it is delayed beyond a reasonable time, the Club can approach the HC again for remedy. The CM will lose the face in case of such a situation arise. So in my opinion he cant play this game beyond another week?

This is a personal request to the chief minister.Since you are a very busy man doing nothing i request you to not issue the licence to BTC inspite of courts orders.Also you maybe busy preparing to be elected again since elections in the state are due you may consider this issue only after you are elected. A further request to you is that since your chances for reelection are bright and then you may be busier than before you may consider this aspect in 2024.

yes sir you are right..btc or state govt they doesn't know's what damage they done for racing in Bangalore....i will tell minimum 50 thousand vote lose for c.m in Bangalore because of their political game.

CMs go for the vote bank. How many will go against him for this delay may be 4000 to 5000. Now how many families go against racing please calculate [along with friends and relative] even here on this site atleast

I t is the loop hole for them by the court .Yet one odd Max intelligent rubbished all of us and called by few names also.totally ignoring this

The point is in life reality is always far away from fiction.

The CM may have to face contempt of court charges for disobeying the magistrate's orders!

A PIL should be filed right away by the aggrieved parties for deliberately delaying matters at the cost of their individual livelihood's.

No one is above the law....not even the honourable CM.

You are absolutely right.CM is not at all interested in starting the races.In fact he will try every trick in the book to delay or stop the races,by hook or crook.Court order or no court order,these politicians will find a way to side line everything that come their way.Just watch his next step.

CM saab is sleeping. Do not disturb Him.
