RULES for the NEW Contest..'POT OF GOLD'
-----------------------------------------------
PRELIMINARY ROUND: Part-I
*Period:31st Jan'18 to 11th Feb'18
*Applicable to ALL centres except DELHI & CHENNAI.
*Nominate 2 horses for WIN from any 2 legs of the SUPER JACKPOT POOL ONLY, as declared in the card. Clearly mentioning the race no. and the name of the horse, in all your postings. Nominations received from outside the SJP legs, would be INVALIDATED.
* NO CHANGES in nomination or SUBSTITUTION for WITHDRAWALS would be permissible. In all ‘withdrawn’ cases, the nominated horse would be transferred by default, onto the tote FAVOURITE of that race, at the local centre.
*Postings will be accepted till the start of the first race of the day.
*Notional Bet value would be considered @ 10,000 pts each.
*Local tote dividends would be applicable for WIN only (No SHP or Place)
*The TOP 25 ranked tipsters, on the basis of highest earnings, would be shortlisted and promoted to the final round of this contest.
Details of which would be circulated later.
*NO restriction in participation or minimum number of days to fulfill.
However, it is in the individual contestant’s interest, so as not to miss out on any race meeting. If you happen to remain absent, you obviously lose out on the opportunity to increase your earnings for that day.
*The ultimate winner of this contest would be presented with a virtual Pot of GOLD. 2 Runner ups would get SILVER & BRONZE respectively.
We intend to run such contests periodically, and you can keep on increasing your tally of virtual awards.
Further details regarding TIPSTER’S HALL OF FAME and RACING OLYMPIAD will follow.

Please note we are not keeping records of losses incurred by Tipsters during the preliminary stage. But we are penalizing the winner by deducting his Investments from his total gain.
Imagine a tipster lost consecutively for four days. He lost 4 x 20000 = 80,000 and his losses are neither recorded nor he has to repay the losses as per the existing rules. If the loser registers next race day a FLUKE WIN with a moderate winning dividends of 100 on tote, he accrues 1,00,000 points (1000 T x 100).
And imagine another tipster consistently winning five days and remain on top of the Leader board with 75000 points, remember his points are net, less investments.
There is a chance the former edge past the leaders because the existing rule is Loser Friendly. How we can allow LOSERS to use 20000 points daily and ignore, and at the same we punish the WINNERS by deducting their investment from the total gain. We want to give equal chance to winners and losers. Hence I took privilege to alter existing Rule No.2 Calculation method. We will NOT TO DEDUCT the INVESTMENTS from the losers and Winners as well which kindly note.
Calculation Method:
(a)-Contestant nominates 2 WIN bets @ 10,000 EACH.
(b)-If both(A & B) are winners; then,
(c)-Entitlement-A:1000 Tickets X Tote dividends = (Profit from A)
(d)-Entitlement-B:1000 Tickets X Tote dividends = (Profit from B)
(e)-Score to be published in the evening: A + B Dividends is your GROSS POINTS

Here's explaining the modus operandi.....by suppositions.
1-Contestant nominates 2 WIN bets (A & B) @ 10,000 EACH.
2-If both(A & B) are winners; then,
-Entitlement-A:1000 T X divnd A -10,000(invment) = X (Profit from A))
-Entitlement-B:1000 T X divnd B -10,000(invment) = Y (Profit from B)
-Score to be published in the evening: X + Y
3-If the same contestant gets another winner (C) out of the 2 nominations, say after 4 meetings, please add Z (Dividend earned from C) to the earlier X+Y score...and so on.
4-If contestant's both the nominations fail in the first instant or it keeps on failing; NO name of the contestant/zero score need to be published; NO record of the investments made, to be maintained either. Simple.
5-Only when a contestant opens his account...that his name and scores would be published and would continue to be shown till 11th Feb; the last day of prelims.
6-It is in the contestant's own interest to participate regularly in the qualifying stage.
7-Thereafter, the shortlisted 25 highest dividend earners (as on 11th Feb) move on to the final phase of the contest, and start from scratch till end of this series (Feb'28th)
8-Please understand that we are not calculating the ROI from this preliminary exercise. So pls don't bother about the total investments made in this period.
9-Actual Profit earned/Loss incurred would only apply in the final stage, with the restricted number of participants(25).

4-If contestant's both the nominations fail in the first instant or it keeps on failing; NO name of the contestant/zero score need to be published; NO record of the investments made, to be maintained either. Simple.
5-Only when a contestant opens his account...that his name and scores would be published and would continue to be shown till 11th Feb; the last day of prelims.
6-It is in the contestant's own interest to participate regularly in the qualifying stage.
7-Thereafter, the shortlisted 25 highest dividend earners (as on 11th Feb) move on to the final phase of the contest, and start from scratch till end of this series (Feb'28th)
8-Please understand that we are not calculating the ROI from this preliminary exercise. So pls don't bother about the total investments made in this period.
9-Actual Profit earned/Loss incurred would only apply in the final stage, with the restricted number of participants(25).

Why are you getting confused between PTR & POG, Max?
They are poles apart.
For instance, there is no concept of a bank or a starting kitty unlike PTR.
Here, a contestant gets 'x' no of chances (in this case about 8 meetings upto 11th February) to nominate a max. of 16 winners (8X2). Depending on ones hit rate, he scores points, based on the winning dividends. That's it!
The top 25 scorers are short listed as on 11th Feb. and the contest rolls ahead (final round)...culminating on 28th Feb', when the winner and the runner ups are declared for the month of Feb....and over to March.....when there will be a similar contest...a qualifying round and then the finals...and so on.
Don't worry....just publish the winning scores daily and we will take off from that point.OK.

The Super Jackpot Pool is normally the last six races of the card. If there is any change, we will keep everyone suitably informed, in advance.
We have planned for monthly tipster contests, and each series will last a maximum of 1 month....to be broken up into preliminary and the final rounds.
So, it really doesn't matter if somebody tips a fluke correctly..it will all even out at the end of the series.
Counting number of wins will force contestants to tip the favourites only, which would defeat the very purpose of the contest, and also diminish the excitement of tipping value based winners.
However, let us assure you that should there be any correction required to control the flow of the contest, we will act appropriately.

I think, you have made it like a small version of PTR where the contestants can bet small amounts so that they can save points for next day. Is there any difference between PTR and POG ?

(1) If somebody gives fkukes to this contest if he get win few of them then he will be leading automatically in leader board.
(2) In few centres there no super jp.

You have not explained in case the tipster lost his NNPs in the first day, whether he will be allowed to re-enter? If not allowed, they will enter the contest with any other name. This will continue. Elaborate this point and how to tackle re-entries.

THE KINGS INVITATIONAL CHALLENGE (RACING OLYMPIAD).
The idea behind such contests is to sharpen ones tipping skills and benefit from the mutual expertise of fellow members.
Here's an OVERVIEW:
We hope to run a Monthly contest-of-skill (whenever possible) so that seasoned tipsters could keep adding to their tally of virtual awards. It would also give an opportunity for other aspiring masters to come into the limelight.
However, there would be no pressure to participate.....only an underlying passion for this wonderful sport-of-kings and of course, the urge to make money!
We also plan to attach notional values (nvs) to each of the awards.
GOLD:10 nvs; SILVER:6 nvs; & BRONZE:4 nvs;
End of the year...the most sought after tipster would be the one who has not only managed to collect the maximum nvs, but has also been successful in warding off Challenges from the other Hall of Fame members. Details will follow.

Good and Simple Contest. However, I would suggest a prize for a contestant
who nominates the maximum number of WINNERS,so as to make it a level playing field. To cite a situation, consider someone who nominates two winners at say 15/1 or more and all his subsequent nominations are losers, it is most likely that he will emerge as the WINNER,in spite of someone who may have nominated 10-15 winners at lower odds. In such a situation,it is also possible that good tipsters may lose interest midway in the contest if they find someone with a insurmountable lead because of their lucky long odds winners. The aim of the contest, I believe, is to zero down to the best tipster/s, and not just the lucky tipster. One more virtual GOLD POT should not be a problem !
There also needs to be a time frame for the duration of the contest, and a new contest can begin after one ends.
