Indian Derby 2018 Preview With Probable Odds

By Noble Eagle | 01-Feb-2018
indian derby this week Iis stricly confined 2 five serious contendes.here is my choice with probable odds.
1) prevalent force likely odds 1.5, here is a horce who has done nothing wrong last few runs.only worrying factor is runs well when not pressed but put under pressure somewhat runs erratic if asked to chase horses with a good lead last furlong will making bite the dust.
(2) lady in lace at 3.5, comes into serious reckoning after a smashing mock race where in a absolutely true run race showed a treme
ndous performance clocking a good timing with plenty in the saddle.courageous filly would fight every inch, point to be noted never in my experience saw a derby contender running more than ten runs before the derby speaks highly about her.
(3) manifold at 7to1.comes back into reckoning after her smashing oaks p oaks erformance where at on stage near 400 metres was looking in troubled waters but came with a florish showing no problem with her stamina.
(4)aggregated at 10to1.won kolkatta derby with something in the saddle, still not gaining confidence.
(5) sana at 12 to one. filly commands some respect discounting worst ride by dashrath singh in kolkatta derby. one dark horse rochester at 20to1 is worth taking a chance at longer odds. zenon is considerd highly by pundits

C the ill fate of Sana when Manish chose it . Yeah Many real Punters from RWITC went back with Smiles and Cheers due to Smasher Brainstorm Lincoln and those who believed in the Stars were enjoying at Indiana for a Gallant Night rather than b a bridesmaid ( Gallant Knight waiting for the Lady in lace )

Dear Mad Max now open the closet and check my Season Certainty lay .lolz as adding just Conqueror of CastleBridge and Much propogated Mentor doosra would have given a Straight exacta for Bangolerean .Ab toh kaho "Akkal badi ki Bhais ".lolz

Raj,

Ofcourse now you are also imagining.

the bets passed are huge and bet lost are minimal. This style is going on this site since ages and you are no exception.

But reality here is known to eveyone.

I am writing this after reading your post and all other are not replying but just laughing at people like you, the so called sheikhchillis.

Keep on the work. Your posts makes punters to laugh in horse racing.

Everyone understands the importance of joker in a deck of cards.

It is because of people like you that this sport is not what it used to be these days. Because of your comments and senseless arguments. My filly ran a brave race and beat your filly, who was gasping for breath or what not? After not running over 49 days and recovering from a lung infection she finished a tame second ahead of the highly spoken about Manifold and Prevalent Force. No excused or hard luck stories here, The winner deserved to win and outraced them all on the day which mattered most. But where do punters like you who only think thru your pockets acknowledge this? Dont worry, I dont have any book makers number nor do any of them have mine. I play my bets in cash only and settle on the spot, unlike the thousands like you who settle on credit. I dont do that. For you, its all about the money, for me I dont survive on Horse racing, it is a sport I enjoy and love, dont come here to make money out of it.

I am not saying anything for now, I just dint like the way Suraj positioned the filly in 5th position when she is used to coming from a last/second last position always. Thats the way she runs, even in a short straight like Pune she came from a last position just before the bend. If he had positioned her second last and cruised on the outside, she may have run closer, maybe won. I dont know. She may not have stayed, I dont know, and finished close second. All I can see is she was ridden differently and the result is for all to see. Again, before people comment, these are not excuses, the Lady was beaten fair and square by a horse who was improving with every run and rose to the occasion when it mattered most. Congratulations to Rochester!

Next Target, Invitation Cup, my filly will rise to the occasion and run a bold race, if ridden to her liking and how she normally runs.

Cheers,

Jimmy

As I told you a horse( LIL )from C grade center can't win Mumbai derby has been proved right.
Even your second choice PR bit the dust.
Hope you are not receiving calls from bookies.
Just see my derby day selections in that thread. My only 3 bets Smasher 65/100 and Lincon 2.5/10 which I said 100% shots gave me huge shot and my bookie is pleading for more time.
All I lost was 1 peti a fancy bet on Manifold.
Racing kids are many on HT.Grow up along with #ACE tipster# MM And another kid Manish.
@ Manish how much I made today is beyond your imagination.Keep imagining!!!!
Surely I did bet inside ring or got money inside ring!!!!

Today India Derby Proved all Wrong.

Its All About Connections and How to Get Punters Money...

Mistry's Hats off to you for your Incredible Doosra...

If this is Horse Racing Works.. No Need to look for all the above mentioned Conditions. Just Looks at the Owners, No of Horses Entered and Play the one at Longer Odds...

Regarding tote playing. long time back I was in Lawly Institute. OOTY.In this club, card games are played with huge stakes.Side by side some very rich industrialists from Coimbatore are playing for small stakes.I enquired why these tycoons are playing for peanuts when they can afford the very high stakes. The reply I got ' they need not earn money from gambling. they just want to pass the time.

Everyone knows at BTC there are no legal bookmakers.
90 to 95% Bangalore punters are legitimate tote players.
If any beggar using the services of Private Bookies they are doing illegitimate business to evade the tax. They are not patriotic people. We should aid the law enforcing departments to account them. How dare this man is insulting the majority punters of BTC..? I want to meet him as fast as possible.

As Indian derby come closer as usual there is an big flash on Favorites LIL,p.force,Manifold.But every dog has his day.Out of 12 contender one Dark horse is there who can turn the tables of favorite.Predict the Dark one, outsider who can challenge the favorites. In the year 1983 "Nelston" redden by jockey Vasant Shinde won the Indian Derby at longest odd 100/1.So the suspense will reveal on 4th Feb.

@Raj,

I am not a tote player but still do not agree to your demeaning of tote players standard. Every person plays to his pocket.

Your comment shows nothing but your hollowness. If you are that daredevil, tell your bet and the amount in advance, alongwith the centre you play and mind it, if your bet fails, be ready for getting battered in this platform.

By the way, you did not answer my question about your settlement.

I am sure you wouldnt know because this aspect is known only to those, who actually deal in big amount with bookies.

We all know what a pathetic ride Dashrath had give Sana in the Kolkata Derby, hopefully Trevor extracts the best from her.

Mm is getting involved unnecessarily bcz he is frustrated without a win since months.

RAj,

You are a big day dreamer and make me laugh too. I am a regular punter in DRC where the max. betting takes place, but never seen a actual transaction of 60 lakhs taking place after race or in the evening too.

Now you can say, that you got the money at a place other than race course. Okk. accepted.

Now if you are such a big punter, please tell me how the settlements took place in the period november-december 2016, immediately after demonetisation. And now dont say, that you stopped playing during that period.

@Raj,

You post truly amuses me, and speaks volumes of your racing knowledge.I'd rather collect a few hundreds and thousands, very happy with that BTW at the bookmaker not a tote window. Mr. MadMax said he is a tote player so are you insulting him?? hehehe well done!

Those, like you, who know the joy of collecting 25 to 60 lakhs at a time also face the sorrow of begging and borrowing, selling their cars and houses and living on the streets. Fact of racing life,. I have seen it happening to the best of punters and owners so what are you??

Coming back to the winner of the Indian Derby, we will see what happens and who gasps for breath on Sunday. Dont get so excited if Manifold beaten a donkey field in the oaks by 4 lengths. The average rating of the Oaks field was 57.8, in case you understand rating, that is a middle weight class III rating. That is what your great filly has achieved. PF and LIL are rated 100 each which is the highest rating in the Derby field, you say they come from C grade centers? Like I said earlier, I dont bet big hence I will not need pain killers, prefer living a natural stress free life, but you surely keep your phone on coz on Monday and Tuesday you will be receiving calls from your book makers..

Cheers,

Jimmy

Friends:

Whatever may be our forecast and calculations can go wrong as far as Derby is concerned.Present situation is completely amazing.

Indian Derby is almost like Diwali for Mumbaikars. Even a non racing people also visit Race course with fashionable dress. Betting level also will increase. Everything depends on betting level. If the betting level exceeds beyond certain optimum level then the Book Makers will decide the winner. This year derby we do not have a Horse like BESAFE - considered as unbeatable one. However if the betting level goes beyond certain level even for LIL also can lose. After all they want money only. They can get either way also instead of getting from the club they can get more from outside also.

My pick is Manifold and LIL.
PF has always had made up races. He was clearly passed twice by LIL in the Deccan Monsoon Derby but the filly wasn't allowed to win.
Sana seems to be the dark horse as she has been bred to stay and comes with alot of potential.
Themis seems to be very temperamental and deserves a chance for a place bet.
Anyhow, paddock parade must be taken into consideration as to understand the readiness of the animal.

PF won the Hyderabad Derby over 2000mts. Since then so much has happened and other horses have improved. PF won the SI Derby in Chennai. I am not impressed with the win to consider it as favourite for the Indian Derby. It is all speculation by us and it may be different when the bookies open the odds. I remember in Bangalore in a million race , the horse ridden by Y.S.Srinath was 40/100 favourite which surprised many and the horse ridden by B.Prakash belonging to MAM was the second favourite at 6/1. It was Prakash who won.Ifeel the following will be involved in finish.a) Lady in Lace,b)Manifold c)Perfect Star d)Zenon e) PF.This is not the order of placing.

A horse from a 3 Rd rate centers winning Mumbai derby is too much to ask for . PR and LIL will be gasping for air at 2300 mts when Manifold challenges them from outside. Keep pain killers with you.
It's 2.28 mnts race. Not 2 35 or 2.36mts.

One can never rule out the possibilities of an outsider, Considering...

ZENON for will be fruitful, having said that.

MANIFOLD seems to have a razor edge above LIL.

Sana seems to be a spent force just trying to make amends on this Turf she has to run out of her skin and if she does, well.. who knows.

PREVALENT FORCE has everything it takes to be a fav on paper and may seem like the one to beat but I think that it is the one horse that will take a lot of money down the drain in this race.

AGGREGATED will be at the post fighting for the verdict.

Do you know at that time I was one of the two who tipped Lady In Lace to win over Manifold. The present day supporters of Lady In Lace unitedly attacked Pesi Shroff for hooking favourite Manifold. Refer Horse Talk archives it will prove the naked truth. All of a sudden these JO JEETHA SIKANDAR GROUP started blindly supporting LIL. They are now little confused because Prevalent Force's record. LIL had some setback days before, so I dont think, it stands a good chance here. PF should open as the favourite at around 1.5 to 2. LIL could be second fav. wtih 3 to i, (thnx to the hype). Manifold will be around 4.5 to 5 and rest over 10 to 1, with a lone exception could be aggregated at about 8 (due to desouza).

I hope Manifold does a mahetji. I like Sana too, only if Dashrath singh is not booked to ride. He definitely lacks big race temparament.

Come this Sunday I am not going to the derby to make or lose money. I am going to cheer my filly, play a Rs. 3000 bet on her and hope she runs a hell of a race, win or lose. I will still have a car to drive back in and a house to go back to unlike all you big punters who give shouts in 'peti's and Khokha's

So dont worry about how much money I will make from this Derby, be more worried about how you will be ducking and avoiding book makers calls on Monday.

@ Hi Guys

Lady in Lace will be the FIRM favourite at 13/10 or below 1-1/2. It is because of all the hype made around this horse by Jimmy Karanjia and his Bookie Colleagues (?) and also the mighty Vivek Jain writing an article about its prospects in RWITC website immediately after 1000 Guineas victory (which I reproduced in Horse Talk some time back). So there is no doubt Lady in Lace will be the favourite, followed by Prevalent Force around 18/10 to 2/1. Like Smart-still-poor punter said Manifold will be around 5/1 or 6/1. Rest of the runners including Aggregated 7/1, Rochester 8/1, Themis 10/1, Perfect Star 12/1, Sana 12/1, Daffodil 15/1, Zenon 20/1 in that order.

Look at Jimmy's choices. Earlier he used to make VAKALATH of Lady In Lace, now he is little confused, hence conveniently picked PREFAVELENT FORCE also. So he is having the most popular fancied Jodi in his kitty, let us wait and watch how much he is going to win from this Derby?

Hi Noble Eagle,

I appreciate the way you have played the role of a bookie. The odds are worth declaring in the opening stage. Congrats!

However, if I am your rival bookie - say Ramanathan vs. Lulla in Chennai - I shall offer 2/1 for Prevalent Force and 2-1/4 for Lady in Lace. Manifold, the real one capable of upsetting the applecart herein, will be at 5/1, and Aggregated can be taken for 8/1. All others at 10/1 and above.

I will also give 1/2 money place on the first two horses, and 8/10 on Manifold.

I hope my bookie is not going raided. Beware of IT slueths...they are around!!

Jimmy Karanjia said ...

Raj,

Are you talking out of your senses or something?

Prevalent Force will be the favorite and rightfully so.He deserves to be the favorite. This will be followed by either Lady in Lace or your personal favorite Manifold.

I am thrilled with all the big interviews with jockeys trainers etc. David Allan has not even mentioned Lady in Lace in his selections. More interviews like these will fetch me higher odds on the Lady hopefully. Plus with all the buzz around her lung infection will increase her odds by a rupee or two. Your filly Manifold might just be second favorite and my filly Lady in Lace third favorite, I am hoping that happens.

They all have to beat Prevalent Force and my filly will be right there at the finish fighting it out.

Cheers,

Jimmy

Guys

Some of you say there is no track in Mumbai for some Derby Contenders, and hence these horses stands no chance in Derby. No patience at all.

All the Derby Contenders ran well and they have been given sufficient track at their respective centres.

Today is Thursday, most of the Derby Contenders would had preparatory final work. If not today, tomorrow. Thats enough.

Generally in Indian Derby, the Colts have always an edge over fillies.
