Hi MM & POG Contestants,
No point in washing dirty linen in public....since there are no means of direct communication with my fellow coordinator MM..and hence this rucus.
Frankly, I always believed that in any contest, there has to be disciplinary norms in place and which has to be well understood by the contestants.
Matters like wrong horse number but the correct name of the horse is acceptable.
Selections must be from SJP Pool only. If one nomination is incorrect and if the other one is okay...we will accept only the correct one.
HOWEVER, IF THE TIME DEADLINE IS VIOLATED FOR ANY REASON...there is ZERO TOLERANCE.
Doesn't matter if this is a preliminary round or not.
Sorry about being harsh gentlemen but the basic time-rule must be honoured and would apply to ONE AND ALL.

Two people will have different views. Morover, you and BKD are not on the same platform as to how to run the contest.
So, these types of difference of opinion would occur. I suggest,that you both divide work clearly.
For eg. Let BKD take the policy decisions till 11th and you do only the scoring part as per his instructions. For next part, the roles can be reversed.
And contestants can be strictly told that the rules might change in the next league of the contest as the authority would change.

@ Hi all,
We are not distributing any prize or trophy to the winner/s after completion of PRELIMINARY STAGE.
Present effort is simply to shortlist 25-30 tipsters for the final stage -
the real competition starting from 12th February. So all rules can be implemented strictly from 12th February. I think we have to be lenient and accommodate all during preliminary stage of this contest.
1. Race No.9, Horse No.9, Horse Name-Lhotse (These are the three details we are asking the contestants to submit)
As a rule it is ok. With all the three details we can easily identify the horse. The question now is, should THE COORDINATORS act so rigid in implementing the rules when TWO CORRECT DETAILS (OUT OF THE THREE) ARE sufficient to find the horse.
Race No.9 & Lhotse - are sufficient to find the horse (Horse Number can be wrong)
Horse No.9 & Lhotse - are also sufficient to find the horse (Race Number can be wrong)
Race No.9 & Horse No.9 - are also sufficient to find the horse (Horse Name can be wrong)
If a contestant has given two points correct, then the coordinator can find out the horse.
On 31.01.2018 Mysore Races Mr Eswaran tipped 8-10 Bonfire, here Horse Number and Horse Name was correct, but Race Number was wrong. Bonfire was in Race No.7 Horse No.10. BKD ignored the mistake and credited the tipster's points.
Yesterday Mr.Ram Iyer has mentioned correct Race Number and also correct Horse Name, but wronged Horse Number. This should not be taken as an issue. MM has done this job correctly in previous contests.
Now contestants posting SELECTIONS not from SJP Legs:
There is a chance contestants may make mistakes initially, earlier these contestants were part of SRT Contest where no restrictions imposed anyone had the freedom to pick horses from the entire race card. It is not necessary all read entire rules before entry.
Regarding LATE POSTING, every time we cannot expect people to live according to our time table. It is their life, they may have their issues and time constraints happen sometime. As long as the contestants do not make it a habit, allowing one reprieve is ok in my opinion.
Mr. Ram Iyer's case is special. Because he posted his selections first within stipulated time. Then SVK raised few posted selections not from Super Jackpot Legs. After reading SVK's comments, Ram Iyer posted fresh selections, that post received 39 minutes late. There can be communication delay when the interactions are made thru comments/mails.
It is the job of the coordinators to remind the contestants to correct it. It was nice SVK raised it, no problem any contestant can raise the issue. BKD SIR, you were not available during the day, you reported at 7.00 pm in the evening.
ALL SAID & DONE. If Ram Iyer has no problem, then Mr.Alen D also should not have a problem.

We all know that how difficult to maintain all the scores of each participant.We should not give any more burden to the scorer. This letter is very important. You have to take a decision fast otherwise this CONTEST may be inadvertently stopped. Reasons being the rigid stand of BKD the other coordinator. I wish Indiarace Admin guide us .
Now coming to the facts:
1. Every tipster should specifically mention, Race Number, Horse Number and Horse Name.
2. And the deadline for receiving the entries is the start of the first race.
3. First day of contest (31.01.18), BKD instructed me "Those tipsters posted without Rc no, H No or H Name..please request all participants to cooperate in this regard by positively mentioning the required details, from their next post onwards. Failing which, we would be compelled to disqualify such incomplete entries. As per his request I reimbursed the winning points of defaulters, (1) Sethuraman (Horse Number not mentioned, but Race Number and Horse Name was correct), (2) Eswaran (Race Number wrongly mentioned, but horse name and horse number were correct).
4. Today Mr Ram Iyer has done "somewhat" similar mistake Mr Eswaran done the other day. He mentioned the correct Race Number and Horse Name, but the Horse Number was wrong. His horse won and tote declared Rs 195 for a tenner. Today he posted his selections before the deadline itself. Unfortunately his first selection was from 2nd race which made null as per rules. In fact all tipsters should pick their horses from the last six races of the day. SVK Raju has taken this matter and requested all tipsters erred to rectify their selections. Ram Iyer changed his selection from 2nd race to 9th race which received 39 minutes late. I AM OF THE OPINION TO ALLOW HIS SELECTIONS, but BKD is adamant to disqualify his selections today.
5. There were other two contestants "Alen D, and JWC" whose selections received late by 7 minutes to 25 minutes. Another was late by 1 hr 25 minutes. Normally it happens, because Kolkata races started at 12.30pm, and it is not easy for contestants to post their selections before dead line. I AM OF THE OPINION TO ACCEPT THEIR SELECTIONS, but BKD is strict in his approach to disqualify them.
6. This is a serious issue, and the contestants are showing their ire towards the the POG CONTEST TEAM for BKD requesting to disqualify Ram Iyer & JWC (See Mr SVK Raju's letter at 10.22.36 pm).
7. I Fear JWC, Ram Iyer and few other tipsters oppose to this type of rigid stand may make their exit in revolt.
8. After all this is the preliminary stage of this contest which ends on 11th February, i.e. after 8 days. As one of the Coordinators of this contest I wish to give all the contestants full support and ignore their silly mistakes till 11th Feb.18.
9. From the final stage of this competition, which starts from 12th February, Mr. BKD, we can run the show as per the rules you framed.
I request Indiarace Admin to write to BKD to cooperate.
Meanwhile I request all contestants to post your free opinion and views on this stalemate and how to tackle it.

Allow me to clarify....
I have already pointed out in one of my posts below, that Ramiyer ji's revised nomination was received after the deadline had been crossed, and as such, he cannot be given the benefit of this change. The leaderboard would be modified accordingly.
That's fine and Ramiyerji is one of our oldest colleagues and who will not raise any demur. He is a gentleman to the core.
So, please do not walk out in a huff. It's part of the game (E & O E)

No problem BKD.I know and agreed that my post is invalid.But lhotse was my good thing today .I should have selected i the first phase.

Due to oversight Madmax had not noticed my timing of my post.I dont know why you are leaving these contests.This one just started and there will be some hiccups in the beginning.Iam sure it will be a grand one.Like libero ,Mad max and Bkd are doing wonderful painstaking job.Dont get upset for this silly reason.Instead appreciate them as you used to do it.

Regarding 10000 Points Investment. I think you have a wrong picture.
I have not added any extra points to the Winners. Whatever Tote Dividends declared by the Race Clubs are Gross Profit including our investment.
For instance, Today in the last Bangalore Race No.8, dividend declared was Rs.15/-. So any tipster selected this horse will get 1000 Tickets x 15 = 15,000 Points. In fact there is only 5,000 profit otherwise 10000 is the Investment. From Day-1, I credit equivalent Notional Points to the Winning tipsters against the dividends paid by the Club. That is the winner will get 15000 NNPs. I know, you suggested to deduct Investment 10000 from the Winning Dividends and credit balance points to their account (For instance 5000 points only against today's Bang last race). My question was why the Winners only return the INVESTMENTS to us every day? Whereas those Tipsters so far failed have not returned us a single Point ?.
I have used same calculation from day-1 to till this date.
