Stellar Performance By Corfe Castle

By Sksagar | 26-Feb-2018

Stellar performance by CORFE CASTLE in the Poonawalla Breeders Multimillion on Sunday. It was a performance worth 105 on the Time Form Scale ( as good as 126 on the Indian Rating system). The horse has great potential and bound to go far.

Three out of the four who finished in the frame were by `EXCELLENT ART`

Will come back

Corfe Castle`s win was very much on expected lines, though it was a surprise why he lost in the Darley Arabian Million. My friend Tom Krish wrote as far back in November that Corfe Castle would triumph in the Poonawalla Million.

Some has written that Corfe Castle race was fixed. So let me say about this race and not about other fixed races. I can say that all races are not fixed and all horses in any races are tried. The connections have a target race and according to the competition and odds decide to go at it and when we punters fancy them. Corfe Castle clocked nearly record breaking time which is not possible in fixed races. The time is Class I time. The entire field was outclassed. Let us appreciate a good classy horse.

Have your read the article of Suraj Naredu with an open mind ? Which statement he has to made to divert the attention of punters - from backing Corfe Castle.

He has expressed his opinion that all have to beat a particular horse in PBMM as he rode the horse in Hyderabad and won against Corfe Castle by a big margin !

Each and every Race is different. It is for us to decide which horse we have to back looking to the present track work and stakes involved.

There are lot of information [kabar]being circulated among punters that a particular horse is poised to win. Sometimes it materialises and other times, its not. Are you capable of scolding the kabar guys in case the kabar guys draw blank. If you do, they will pounce on you.

As such, let the professional write their views. If someone asks you to jump in the well closing your eyes, will you do ?

As such dont indulge in character assisination of anyone.

Fully agree with the observations of A D.

Is this the first time that a few particular stables are playing with the punters money ?

Just look at the run of Counseller, ridden by Sandesh. A clear case of being instructed to not try at all. A gift to Jodha.

Similarly, the Juvenille Derby race seems to be that all other runners except the winner were not interested at all. Not one of the other horses even tried their best. What a big sham of a race. No whips were out for the other horses. WHY ??

If the winner had all in him, then why did the foreign brought jockey by the owners not ridden it ?

It's a case of self drowning of the RWITC by their officials itself.

Corfe Castle clocked timing which was very close to record time which even the highest class horse may not achieve. Even the record holder carried 52 kgs. So CC has class and the style of running and the time clocked. If the winner had clocked 1.23 which is par for the 3 year olds, then you can suspect that the race was fixed. I have written several times that the races are not fair many times but not in all cases. Regarding race No 3 Counsellor had run only twice whereas the winner had run more no of times. In the last run the horse had finished 3rd to Brainstorm and Goshawk. Brainstorm won again and Goshawk is also a winner. So the winner is better on merit than Counsellor. The only point is whether Kimberly was tried. The answer is NO because in the next race Kimberley's trainer had the previous winning horse owners horse Jager Bomb which won. So the owner had a double through different trainers. We must understand that all the horses in a race is not tried. The connections have a target race and they will run it many times and try when they want. They have the horses and spend huge money and will try to win when they want and not when punters want. See what happened in the last Indian Derby. The Derby was tried to be fixed but alas Hall Of Famer spoilt the issue. Let us call spade a spade and when our choice fails let us not blame every time as fixed.Let us appreciate a good horse. I feel this CC can perform better than his sister Ruffina.

'Corfe Castle' had every reason to win, and it won in unique style. Let us not underrate the terrific run. No one asked other riders to stop riding or half try? The winner is too good, a fact which has to be acknowledged by one and all. I earlier took objection (in another post on PBMM) only on the way one of the popular riders gave an interview the previous day to grossly 'mislead' the poor punters. I stand by it even if 'God'(zillas) are to cry!

Sponsor horse should not race in the event which they sponsored the particular race..... PBMM very nicely Ponnawalla bagged the sponsored money back home with joy and event also became successful.

Single horse per owner should be allowed or the odds of the both remain same as it happens in foreign countries.

e.g :- If Owner 'A' has 2 runners 1 is at 16/10 and than other one also become 16/10 whatever his past performance .

It will stop manipulation in racing.

Some knowledgeable person should file case on the above matter.

@ A D

If you want to make anyone here to believe your point then please justify timings of the race.

Pioneer finished 7th in the race and as compare to his last run he improved 4 lengths. Which is not sufficient...

And if you can not justify the timings then please stop being a spoil sport and rumor monger.

The horse who ran below par is the one who was under Y.S.Srinath one of the best jockey and the horses name is Dance The Dreams.

with full of sympathy towards you about your losses on PIONEER.

Please be extra cautious in future while putting your money on favourites in classic or graded races specially the race we are talking about.

Best Of Regards

The Poonawalla Breeders Multimillion race was a 100% made-up.

Never in the Indian horse racing history expected such wrong doings in such a prestigious race.

It's a black blot on Indian Horse Racing scenario.

Just as and similar to the third race on the same day was a fully manipulated race. It was a gift by owners of Counsillor, the very people whom we look up to uphold the cry for fair racing.

Gentlemen, it's time to accusingly point fingers at the wrong-doer's and quit this beautiful sport.

Can't expect anything from these type of top officials of RWITC.
