Acceptances are out for Saturday Invitation races at Kolkata.
In Sprinters Cup, Castlebridge has been scratched, possibly to take a tilt at Super Mile on Sunday. That leaves the field clear for Ruffina to romp home. The only questions are: (1) What odds will we get? and (2) Who will follow Ruffina home? In my view, the fight for the board should be amongst Lincoln, Multitude and Siobhan. I tend to favour Multitude on account of his being a local horse.
In Stayers Cup, Whomakestherules has cried off, most likely to take his chances in the Invitation Cup on Sunday. This makes Winter Renaissance the favourite to lift the cup, in my view. Old-timer Azzurro should put a good fight and cannot be written off.
