As informed earlier I missed yesterday races.so today I finished all my work and went early 1.15pm to Pune course took tkt.seated leisurely and studying today's card.at around 1.45 pm it was announced races were cancelled. Immediately I came out and took mobile.but so many ppls r waiting and shouting at officials asking for refund of entrance fee.many of them including myself did not taken half portion of the tkt.i don't know how Pune race course officials refund the amount.i would like to say we r losing souch if amount in racing.just ?50/ we r not going to make anything big.Then why punters create noice and resort to tension moment to officials?punters must behave in well manner.same time BTC knew frm morning some problem erupted there.thet shd hve announced much earlier.cant drag it till 11th hour and say not possible to conduct races.BTC officials r worst in handling such situation.now literally c Pune Officials tough time to handle which is not created by them.

The Pune admin have done the right thing. They should be appreciated.
At BNG, they did not opened the gate. So there is no question of refund. But say, the gates were open but the cancellation notice came after some time. In all probability, they would not have paid refund. Instead, punters would be told that the counterfoil tickets are valid for next day.

Bookies will go on strike. Tote clerks go on strike. Syces, Jamdars, Trainers, Jockeys go on strike. But punters???

I am sorry. When the carnival is cancelled, the admin should have the decency and courtesy to refund the admission ticket cost at least.

I waited near security office in Pune just watching.punters create a tensive moment.but the officer in charge was very com and taking orders frm Mumbai over phone.he specified each and every one shouted at him.i told him that I do not hve half tkt.but he still told will be refunded.within 1/2 hrs he arranged refund one by one.i also got but gave to security staff and told them to have a cup of chai.its not money s matter.my point is why don't punters support officials since it was not their fault.any how let it be gone as it s.but I appreciate the security officer in Pune for his brave effort in sorting out matter early.Hats off to him.

I stay in Pune took half day from job and came 20 km from there jus to play Bangluru races.but dissapoined..BTC they should inform us prior if races cancelled.

Sir punters purchase 50 Rs ticket by their earning and they come with a positive mind set to take away some amount with them.no matter they win o loose but the reason for purchase of ticket is not to take a walk in garden but to bet on a horse at perticular center race and earn some. If the very reason is not fullfilled and races are not conducted then they have all rights to ask for the refund of tickets.it may be a small amount for us but also very valuable for few..

I reached for second race & found the punters were being refunded entrance fees one by one, to all who were inside & had no half part of ticket. I don't find any problem in asking for refund when races were not conducted right from Race No.1. If this happens at any other centre same should be followed & I appreciate the unity of punters at least for this small cause.
Actually when (As understood thro' few) BTC Tote operators can unite & ensure "NO RACES" for demand of raise in salary/daily wages, I ask why at least,we punters unite & ban racesfor the day to teach lesson to Club(RWITC) & bookmakers- How poor they are without us?
BTW BTC has a habit to sleep till eleventh hour all times & there's nothing new about it.
Further is there any news regarding Saturday's races as a Top bookmaker said that Bangalore races will be conducted for sure.

Agreed the BTC OFFICIALS are pathetic( case in point their handling of the issue with the government)But even a single rupee matters, I really dont know how well off you are but for the common man it can afford him/ her one square meal.The punters have every right to ask for a refund!!!!! my humble two words.
also as there are no events conducted whats the point in collecting the entrance fee- its not an amusement park, its faaaarrrr from it!!!!!
