It looks too much and sky high hopes to win all classics that too with the jockey mentioned. Late MAM in grand olden days has won all the classics with different horses and if my memory is right he won all the classics with a single horse STAR HAVEN. But he couldn't win Invitation with it. Racing is not all that easy as we may predict. See what happened to Temerity in a two horse field and what happened to Amazing Bay in the Invitation at the owners home in Chennai. There is many a slip between the cup and lip.
Regarding the elections the person interested in taking over from the present people who are all long associated with the club. The new entrant, though a member, was here all along because of compulsion rather than interest in racing. If he was so interested he would have got it on platter when MAM was there. He was least interested in this. Now in the changed scenario, few disgrunted elements who wish to share & swallow the stakes going back to system of racing previously going on have started forming a caucus around him along with few trainers and started purchasing horses for him and racing. They have advised him to take over. If you see the hospital he is running then you can evaluate what he is capable off. It is not that you are running a big industry which you may have gained experience for having remained there as an understudy with the big man for a long time. Hospital require special skill or appoint people with skill to take care. Similarly racing is not his cup of tea and if he depends on his supporters he will end up with his face down.

It is still early days and we saw only token representations in big races from outstation entries. The horses they are here are mostly purchased from other outside stationed trainers. You can consider those as discards from them. In business terms sold of loss making assets. I am not sure from where and with whom they had their training. Craig has bought a horse in Madras Race club auction for 20 lacs. Should watch how it is going to progress. See what happened to Commander In Chief. It won Ooty Derby and is yet to win in Chennai coming from a formidable trainer/stable. Do these people have in them to achieve such glory or do they have owners who can make such investment and have the patience to go for it. See what has happened to the famous stable with world record classic winners. They are finding it difficult to win even few races in places where they were dominating for several years. Is it the real picture or the present connections of the stable are putting up no show and claiming expenses with the trust and happy with it. I have seen lot of participation in 3 year old races and this is an encouraging sign and future such increase in number in these races will increase the good horses in higher classes and there by the quality of racing will improve.
Elections are getting delayed and factionalism has started here. Elections should be there but it should not divide into 2 or 3 groups. I know people will spend a lot of money to get votes. If some body is giving you money it is clear indication that he is not there for good racing governance but to take back with profit when in power. Clean racing will become a history. The clu should not go back to what it was few years back.
