Very much sad after watching Rochester today..
Rochester is in serious condition and fighting with life. Just praying for Rochester to get well soon. Pls pray for my favorite horse to get well soon.

Indeed a sad news. Rochester the championship is no more.
Loosing a champion like this is a pity.
If what Godzila says is true then it's the worst treatment a champion can get.
If champion is treated like this, what to expect for normal class 5-1 horses??
Are they surviving just by their luck?
Well nothing to take away from the brave who fought like a warrior for his life as 3 year old and won, then making recover and winning the Indian Derby was an excellent achievement.

Mumbai Mirror writes that Rochester was not taken to Morning out thru regular Entrance. Also the patch work being carried out at the Race track, resulted in the fall of upside down of Rochester, and subsequent death. The owner keeps full faith on the trainer for the well being of a champion horse like ROCHESTER. The trainers are paid handsomely to take utmost care of the horses and their drills.
Mr. Sunderji owes an explanation to the Racing fraternity as to what went wrong on that fateful morning ?

This is what happens to Champions in every field. Rochester was not taken thru Main Gate in Pune for early morning track work out. It fell on its back and injured behind ears, which is a most sensitive area for Horses. Trainer Sunderji should have taken utmost care. A true champion is lost.
