Pyare Miya won Indian Derby as a Maiden.Before Derby he had come second in a class 4 race (2000 M).It was a maiden horse,still bookies opened it as third favourite at 5 to 1.In the ring the odds went up to 7 to 1.
When the race started Pyare Miya lost 10 lengths at the start,caught up with the field a 400 and won by 2-1/2 lengths.Pyare Miya was never run again in any race by owners.
Pyare Miya holds two records in Indian racing history.
(1)The only maiden horse to win Indian Derby.
(2)The only horse to win only one race in his carrier,that too Indian Derby.

You are over-looking one point :
The connections are here not for entertainment.
They are here to take away the racing punters money, one way or the other. Nothing else matter's to them.
There are no honest and respectable trainers anymore.Gone are those day's.

Hi all,
Seriously HT guys need to remember there are n number of punter who read and follow horse talk so please give selection only if your 100percent confident and don't quarrel like kids be mature in discussions,HT posts are really creating hype common punters think that you guys too wise and knowledgeable in horse racing so be responsible in giving horse and while discussing also.

Godzilla. Pl.try to understand the fact and procedures followed by race clubs regarding change of equipment announcements. Number of times it happened in the past also. If it is not printed in race clubs official book( generally it is printed but in very few cases it happens)than they announce this information for the benefit of punters at the time of parading horses in paddock. I myself was a horse owner thats why I am making you more and more clear about this. Race clubs are doing this well within their procedure and rights. And if it is right how can they withdraw the horse. Once horse is accepted and jockeys declared the horse can be withdrawn either on veterinary grounds or under starters order/ instructions for not coming under starters orders or in case if injury happens to the horse during loading in the gate.

@Godzy,TS on or off in first run doesn't matter ,Mock runner winning solo criteria ?Look at mock race timing and companion which ran ,it's an ordinary horse too much type created around.

Good evening all.
Leave all the change of equipment, mock races, champion trainer etc experts please correct me if i am wrong has any horse in the history of indian racing won a classic on its debut run. To my best of knowing for the last thirty five years no horse has acheived that feat!!!

Why are you offering justification and excuses for the equipment change? Its not the question of Hammersmith winning or not ? Its about adding additional equipment at the last moment. Is the procedure okay ? If its not, then why the Horse is not withdrawn ? The Stewards have to do their duty. No one needs explanation or justification from anyone. Its the huge public money involved here which needs answers.

Mr.Godzilla I know you are a senior and experienced analysist about matters related to horse racing. Irrespective of the fact whether T.S. on are not I will tell you one thing with clarity that at the time of declaration of jockeys and draw nos each race club also declares before trainers, owners,press and other officials about shoes whether steel or aluminium and change of equipments if any. Such information they place on notice board also for one and all. In very extraordinary cases some times they declare changes in ownership or change of owner's registered colours or if change of equipment not declared earlier due to any contigency they declare at the time of parading of horses in paddock. But no race club or media hide such informatios knowingly. Being the senior expert you should not create any doubt in the minds of horse lovers. If a horse wins nobody point out any mistake or defect.But to loose specially as favourite always attracts many stories. Don't snatch credit from the winner and don't blame the favourite horse, trainer or Jockey for not winning. If a filly is good with bright future she will prove her category or class and potential soon. Some horses works very well on track but fails/ performs miserably at the time of actual running of the race.This things are part and parcel of racing. Best of luck.
