Blunder In Excitement

Guys

What type of Commentator Bangalore has ? He need not look at the cap or uniform in a small field of Derby Contenders, as Sir Cecil is the only grey horse in the field who passed the winning post first,3 lengths ahead of Star Superior. In his excitement, he shouts Star Superior lived upto expectations and later corrects himself.

The Commentator should be cool and describe the proceedings in a gentle voice without getting excited. They should be sent to some school as to how to give Commentatry and learn the art. What is there for the Commentator to get excited ? Why is he making the Blood of Pressure of punters to go high ?

The way the Commentator shouts and mentions wrong horse name as the winner , big punters will one day definitely get a heart attack.

The commentator who goofed up was on warren Singh's horse...VM horse... only the caps were different..
But nothing to worry as the commentary was immediately re recorded ...
The commentator was never seen again.

This commentator shuld have taken some tips from the great race caller Mr Cyrus Madan who was present during the derby weekend,our so called commentator was getting it all wrong on isntshelovely ,he says emergency instead of saying showing some urgency..

Actually, Starfire Girl owned by Vijay Mallya and ridden by Pesi had won the race in a four way finish from Republic (M Kinane), Winning Heart (Walter Swinburn) and Starfire Boy (R Corner) but Dr Sood was so excited and confused that in his commentary he declared that Captain Eo another Mallya horse, had won the race from Stingray.

It's unfair to pin down the commentator for an error that is human. There was a lot of excitement in his commentary and to me it appeared like he wanted to complete it with the same tempo and that's what actually led him to do the wrong calling. However, he corrected the mistake then and there.

Many of us are keen to pull down the legs of others who commit mistakes, but fail to realize our own. How many of us can claim that we are 100% perfect in the profession that we do? None of us can. So let us be soft even when we criticize so that it doesn't affect the 'victim'.

Some excuse can be given if the commentator got confused by shd, ns etc. Even then he should play safe that it is a close finish and could be anybody's race.

But Sir Cecil beat Star Superior fair and square 3 lengths. Issac spoke about the plight of those who backed Sir cecil. I really pity those who backed SS.

Anyway, the commentator corrected & said Sir cecil is the winner. In about less than 1O seconds. So, a goof up. Can not be excused. But, we can be sympathetic to the commentator and expect him to be more careful in future.

Commentrator himself might have played Star superior, so how can he remember the name of Sir cecil. He predermined to praise SS, and forget the colour of horse and colour of owner's registered dress weared by the jockey. It happens rarely.

Omg!!!!! what was he saying and doing. star spreme reigns supreme. like seriously? he should be sent immediately for classsz to Mr Rajpal at rwitc or Mr Kashyab in Rctc to learn the art of Race Calling. cause according to me thy both are the best in India for time to come ...

As u were a big fan of Star superior, for a second even u would have got confused wd commentry and might hv got a hope that was that really Star superior who won..
What u think on Sir Cecil now Sir...we are waiting to know ur changed views for the mighty colt

It happened many years back Commenttor Dr Sood made the blunder in the Zindin Derby mentioning the wrong names

If i f am not mstaken Dr Cyrusooonawalla was the Chairman and the commentary was replayed i have forgotten the horse name but it eas Mr Vijy Mallyas horse has the wiiner

Punters who were not watching the TV screens and had backed Sir Cecil at 80p,got a shock at hearing the wrong horse and would have suffered an attack..
