Corfe Castle_enquiry On

By S C Sharma | 16-Jul-2018
On 15.7.2018 We mentioned in our post 'over confidence or error' by jockey P Trevor in riding Corfe castle. Now BTC opened a enquiry in the above matter regarding riding by jockey P Trevor for which many eyebrows and doubts/questions raised.

The so called big breeders are finding difficult to sell after demise of MAM and Khaitan and now defunct white, black V red cap. They felt that they had the best breed which is now proving to be not so good. There are no buyers to purchase for the price they quote. They are left with racing them in their colours and with several trainers They are totally under the mercy of the trainers and they are taking them for a ride. All are not as canny and knowledgeable about horses like the late MAM. With over 500 horses he knew about each and every horse. If not how he would have won so many classics and some within a week and even in a couple of days.

I think the trainer needs to be blamed..last time too the horse was pulled with David Allan on money fav and next went to win the Poonawalla Million..once again the history repeated with Trevor.

There was another thread here regarding Trevor pulled All Set Go. When the stable jockey who has to ride ASG is riding for his other stable and the horse being favourite and won. Then why was Trevor put on ASG. Simple to get better odds for the favourite. What will the connections do. They will simply back the horse which his jockey is riding and tell their horse trainer/jockey to go through. That race appeared predetermined. When so called top jockeys ride for multiple stables these things are common. We have to avoid such races totally. ASG will win when YSS rides. He was on Prevalent Force on 3 races in which it was the favourite and all the money of punters into the drain. So he is making up for the punters by winning few favourites at the cost of other good horses which are not tried.

I agree with Raj. At present 99.9% of the time the jockey can't be blamed. Pull up the trainer.

Complete waste of time. The horse was all wrong in the summer, then had fever etc. must have felt his legs. Now the rider has to take the blame for what the trainer has hidden from the owners. He’s just an overrated class 1 horse good enough for Hyderabad. That’s my opinion, I may be wrong too. 1200 mtrs at best.

The horse has not run for 5 months and had 2 mock races. Definitely the trainer will come out with the horse was not fit/ niggles etc and that is why it was not entered in colts. Even if they are not satisfied he may be suspended for 3 or 4 days. Suraj was suspended for 4 days only in respect of Be Safe. Any longer punishment Trevor can consult the 2 who are enjoying with the help of court.

Cabello veloce winning was very hard earned victory where some praised the trainer and some praised the jockey for fighting almost all along the straight with Travor and won in last few metres. Earlier at Kolkata in Sprinter's championship this colt ran very close and the performance was noteworthy. At Bangaluru this 100 plus rating colt ran twice over 1200 metres and with change of distance and with change of equipment he won a hard fought race. This is not a fit case for enquiry. We can't take credit from the colt, trainer or Jockey. Hirses wins in higher odds as well as favourites. Normally when we see feeble riding, overconfidence riding or error of pace judgement in riding or not riding vigorously than doubts and questions are raised. What will be the outcome of Corfe Castle enquiry I don't know and that is not in my hands but I am happy BTC taken a note at prima facie and decided to enquire the matter throughly. Let's wait and watch the result. Earlier number of jockeys and trainers punished also by BTC and their licences were suspended or withdrawn though I am not a supporter of any actions of BTC or opponent. I am a horse lover and what I feel good or bad I express myself openly and share my views. You can differ or agree that is your choice and equally I respect the views of others in totality.

SCS

Corfe Castle was out of action for a long time and might have lost its zeal.No point in conducting an eye wash enquiry.

There were many appropriate cases for enquiries, on which the Bangalore Stewards have turned a blind eye.

What about the improved performance of Cavallo Veloce which paid more than Rs. 380/- win for a tenner ? In this case, they closed their eyes.

There should be a Commission of Enquiry on the Stewards and the present Stewards Committee should be dismissed.

BTC and enquires do not match. Get it.

Pure 100% eyewash, cause they are involved in this big loot.

Cool punters anger is their aim.
