Please don't raise eyebrows at my choice of horse ,it's TRULY EPIC just because after squarely(not true check last run video) beaten by other horses in the fray ,still owner and trainer fancying it's chances in the Derby .my choice may prevail all the top fancies just because it's 2ooo Mtrs is a different ball game.fingers crossed ,still jockey not declared ,all the good luck shower on the horse jockey owner and trainer.

Pioneer has a good chance if Trevor rides him. PSC has made a mess of this horse many a times. Excellent. Has no chance as he is an Excellent Fart who wont stay. Knotty Ash is out of. Dovers Hill who was a pure 1000 mtr horseof mr. todywalla. So will he stay?? Desparito is by default the choice here. Roberto won well so because shes a PS horse she becomes a champion. Let her win again in better company any better timing.

I read number of versions about Pune derby runners. First thing instead of guessing all would have waited till the acceptances are out. Second thing all write ups are posted on 8th,9th or 10th of October, 2018 and in some write ups  it is stated about a horse worked just two days before at Bangaluru.  The derby at Pune is on 14th of October '18. This is also possible because  some trainers like giving fast work at parent center and they delay the arrival of participating horse till 24 to 48 hours before the date and time of running of actual race at other center. Nothing wrong in it. Few days before derby, giving track at parent center is not new. Number of times in past R R Byramji's horses  from Bangaluru use to arrive one day before or same day morning at other racing centers where racing use to be conducted, and till 3-4 days before he use to give final workout at parent center only.

i wish that there might be ROBERTA but not there may be preparing for INDIAN DERBY,my pick here in pune derby is DESPERADO

Guys its very difficult predict clear winner but Desperado can hold better chance here, I will use play pioneer (hidden horse) shapoor mistry eat lady in lace two time, tutankhamun, dancing dragon,paluche so as my study pioneer should be in the firing line.

As of now the jockeys association has refused to accept mounts for the weekend.

Knotty Ash is a late entry for pune derby and it is appearing in the handicap also.

the question of not running in pune derby does not arise at all.

Roberta looks like a late bloomer and so requires time. I feel it will be ready by Oaks. There is again a jinx that winner of Poona Derby do not win any other  Derby more particularly the Indian Derby. Watch out for Roberta in Mumbai. The champion trainer has so many good horses and he has no time to get a few ready for the Derby. Is it that he is biting too much to chew.

No idea which horses will be accepted in the Derby.Desperado will be one of the runners for sure,but I really doubt jockey Arshad Alam piloting it.the way he rode it last time I think he might be replaced by Trevor if none of the horses from manjri stud are participating.             Good luck for all

Mr.Godzilla Desperado will lead to Victory under top jockey like P.Trevor / Y.S Srinath and not under Arshad Alam. And what u say about club and entries no one is intrested in  listning to it .. just enjoy victory of Desperado at good odds

Robarta has entries in mumbai classics   .so trust pesi suerly mumbai classics belongs to robarta(another jacqualine).

And coming to pune derby may be poonawalas has great chance to show there intent on exelent art staying capasity.

Neil and MR want to win the classic.i hope arshad alam wont ride Desparado .with better temperment jockey despardo has fair chance to win the pune derby.

Final choice - DESPARADO win if there is no final entry

Strictly between Desperado & Excellent , but Desperado should win this on Sunday.

Roberta is not even on track since its last win. Probably one of the many set back cases for Pesi's horses.

Malesh Narredu gave a good mock race to Pioneer in race won by Excellent. Pioneer has a good finishing burst and should lift Pune Derby.

Knotty Ash has been given track work at Bangalore today. Its participating in Pune Derby is doubtful. You should know where the horse is stationed and then give your choice.

When I say RWITC Pune is struggling with paucity of runners, certain section is not prepared to accept.

It will not be a surprise, again, 4 runners participate in a major event like Derby in Pune.

Roberto has accepted defeat already, which may be the reason, for not participating. Excellent and Bushtops are milers. The Race is for the taking of Desparado. Let Arshad Alam also win Derby and make money. The top jockies performance on favourites are horrible. Racing is at lowest ebb with RWITC.

Yes the much awaited Pune Derby has only 8 horses in handicap 

DESPERADO is a highest rated horse in this field which is all set to lift the Pune Derby and perhaps a first Derby win for MUTHAPPA RAI

Strange is P SHROFF didn't enter his horse ROBERTA don't know can be a final entry 

But Vijay B shirkes one more horse BUSHTOP which ran a good race with a fine turn of foot can upset this event 

So my choice is BUSHTOP for Pune Derby (if accepted) it's just my choice .post ur thoughts friends

All owners understood that 3 year races are wantedly  donated to stud farm owners by all Cluds to support stud farm for this coming years yearling.

That's why no entries for Derby...what happen to Hyderabad Derby...they where 84 entries and only 4 participated.

Racing is losing its charm day by day...

Punters are in bad position in there life.

Desperado Shud Win. Bushtops Will Follow Him. Excellent Will Finish 3rd Or 4th Due The Race Iz Of 2000 M And He Will Not Stay.

Miserable and pathetic excuse for a race.

With no major challenger running, they still cannot get proper horses to run.

With the exit of Mody possibly by end of the season, the Mumbai season will be another lacklustre one....

The Derby seems to be in the grip of the Poonawala trained Excellent.

Bushtops should be in the teckoning if fancied

The non entry of Roberta is definately a damp squib.
