From Kilcock, County Meath, Robbie cut his teeth on the pony racing circuit where he rode 30 winners. He was only 16 and having his third ride when successful on Atticus Finch for Eddie Lynam at Dundalk on February 8th, 2013. Robbie rode out his claim when successful on the Lynam-trained Ice Storm at Sligo on June 19, 2018. It was his 95th career victory.
