Tom, Joyti and Sharan and family visited us this summer for a few days. I he was frail , careful on his intake and slept on a recliner, more importantly he was concerned for his wife Joyti who took great care of him, making sure all his needs were met.

While we all are bound to miss him and we will as he taught many of us something or the other about the sport. Our heart goes out for Joyti.

We hope God gives her the strenght to endure this loss which took place in a cruel manner.

I will miss him. His grace far exceeded any of his other qualities. Each time I met him, he made me feel more special than before. First time I met him was in 2013 Invitation Cup Calcutta, he came to the general enclosure along with Dr Nath he told me that he had read my post on HT and that they were rather good. That was surely a big moral boost. When he learnt that I had sent a friend to purchase a member's enclosure pass, he strongly urged me against it and offered me a pass, he said don't waste your money. Next I met him pre Invitation Cup GT MADRAS he was the moderator and at the end of the session, he held my hands and told me that my inputs added real value to the evening's discussion. This again gave me courage to put my point, in a room full of senior and more experienced race goers.? Then I met him this year again before the invitation cup at Calcutta. He learnt that I  was calling races. He he sat with me and heard my race calls and then gave me a few pointers. He spent nearly an hour with me. He complimented me for my diction, clarity and asked me to work on fluency and tone. I think such men are rare in today's world and I am extremely fortunate to have known him.

Tom Krish and Jyothi stayed with us for a few days in 2011. One evening - during that visit – just after dinner we watched replays of some big 2010 Breeders Cup races on youtube hooked on to our TV. One of these races was The Breeders Cup Classic won by BLAME where Zenyatta ridden by jockey Mike Smith came flying from dead last position to finish a close second. After this video replay was thru, another video recording started on youtube  which happened to be the recording of a press  conference  .. ``Mike Smith Press Conference Breeders cup 2010``.  I was about to switch off that recording to change to another race replay .. when Tom Krish raised his hand and said `Hold on .. don`t change … just listen to the press conference` .. After Mike Smith had spoken, the Questions started, and after two questions were answered, came the third question … It was by Tom Krish.

He was a regular at these post race press conferences for big races in US and asked some insightful questions

Tom Krish,Racing Correspondent for Chicago Sun Times and blessed with unmatching memory and ability to say,is no more.

i had the privilege of knowing him rather well for the past 8 years and want to share my memories :

we first met on 24 th January at SK.Sgarjis home and once he started narrating incidents ,I knew that I must see to it that some of us in the Racing, should have the benefit of listening to this great man.

i organised some Get Togethers,GTs and a few details follow:

He called me up from Chicago asking me to go over to Calcutta for the 2013 Invitation and we met up at Kenilworth hotel. At RCRC,I introduced Albert Khare to Tom and the young lad was and still ,is thrilled no end,I am sure.

we got Special Invites to the Members stands and could meet -Who is Who from all the Racing Centers.

A GT was araged by me with help from a few friends,in March 2014 with Tom as a Special invitee.

He brought Satish Naredu and the participants were treated to a question and answer session and lots of interaction.

Two punters from Bombay flew in to be part of the GT!

on 12 July,we organised the next GT and got the one and only AK47, to talk to the 25 persons present.

Yes,I am referring to Aslam Kader Bhai, who was grilled with questions by one and all.

Tom and Sagar ji were very much in action.

i met up with Tom in Bombay on 27 Feb,2015 and Mallesh took us to his stables and lo,there was BE SAFE  majestical.

At my request,we were clicked with Be Safe.

This is one significant collection of my fotos.

We had GT at the home of Salim Bhai and the few participants had a great time listening to Toms anactodes.

On 11th July,Tom asked me to get a senior Trainer to address us in the GT and Shri.Puttanna who wa sabot to retire, graciously accepted and came down to HBI along with S.Marshall.

Tom made him speak about many aspects of Training and participants interacted meaningfully.

Next GT was the brainchild of Tom Krish at Madras in 2016 when MRC was conducting Invitation after 11 years.

Tom was helped by our good friend,Arlington Park.Tom got the redoubtable Padmanabhan and jockey David Allen and also saw to it that the young guns of Naredus clan Suraj,Yash,Neeraj,Mahesh were there.

we were 30 partipents and were treated to an entertaining dialogues between Tom and the guests.

every one spoke well and it was a great success and feather in the cap of Tom.

The last GT where Tom was prominent was on 4 th March on the eve of Invitation at Bangalore.

I was able to coax Irfan Ghatala to address us and Tom got the new hero on horizon,Trevor Patel to spend sometime with us.Breeder,B.Vijay brought his friend  Anil Mukthi whom we all know.

we had a terrific time and the 20 participants were treated to the views of experts in their fields  ably coordinated by Tom Krish.

i was planning to request Tom to be part of another GT at Hyderabad in March, but Alas,God has willed otherwise.

RIP Sir,

This sport has lost one of the finest gentleman , Legend, Sports Lover and importantly a Man who contributed to this sport by effective Jounalism.

I alongwith Mr and Mrs Ramiyer , Jyothi Mam and Krish Sir were together during the Bangalore Invitation couple of years ago and the entire 4 hours duration we were thunderstruck with the flow of Knowledge before the start of the races and idenbtifying therefore a Possible winner in that race. Goodness Gracious me, we the Hyd Trio were lucky to be part of this  dynamic show of skill by Tom sir and Thank GOD for blessing us to meet TOM sir... Hats Off to you sir...

The preceeding day we were all again part of the Annual Derby GT and his Leadership during the entire proceeding at GT is what makes him the most admired and Respected among the Circle. His detailing of every aspect connecting the sport was one permanent aditional aspect which makes him tower over all with absolute mesmerism

With Krish Sir exit , this sport has lost the charm, Personality who conquered one and all with his academic excellence, A friend for many and a Guru for others who admired him.

This sport will be left with only Persons and NO More Legends as Krish sir represented one and all to the concerned with his immaculate communications which was always effective.....

We will Miss you SIR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Pray GOD to give strength to Jyothi Mam  and the family members to bear this huge loss of an Icon , Legend importantly a Great Family Member ......
