New Apprentice Afroz Khan From Hyderabad.

By Lucky Laxman | 25-Nov-2018

Afroz khan the new apprentice jockey from Hyderabad will be future champion jockey of India. Just see his strike rate, out of 5 mounts he rode so far won 2 times and 2nd 2 times. The very first mount he rode and just lost it by nose and the manner he rode speaks his caliber. Wish him all the best.

Hi All,

I have been told that jockey Afroz Khan is a girl however I didn't see Ms. prefixed before the name. Can anyone confirm?

You like rookie Afroz Khan for his riding skills, that's fine. But going on to declare (not even predict) that he will be the "future champion jockey of India" is quite too much!

That he has won twice and placed twice out of his five rides doesn't entail him to become the champion jockey of India. First, you must see him becoming Hyderabad champion jockey before going on to be the national hero. For that matter, not many riders from this center (Akshay Kumar being the lone exception) attract attention at the All India level.

I went through the videos of his few rides. No doubt, he rides very well. There is a lot of energy and enthusiasm, something that I remember seeing in K P G Appu when he first hit the course as Z Darashah's apprentice when Warren Singh was the no.1 rider for the popular stable. Seeing Appu's first few rides I felt he will soon become top-ranking rider of this country. Although he grew fast in stature, the leading jockey tag always missed him. That's it!
