1.00 #1 CUPIDO drops in grade for her reappearance and looks to hold a class edge over these opponents.

1.30 The handicapper has gone very easy on #4 GLORIOSUS having raised the four-year-old just 12 rps for his fluent win at this track and distance last week. Can provide a quick encore. 

2.00 #3 STORMY ATLANTIC has really found his feet , looking a 3-y-o on the up when scoring readily over this trip at Pune on his last start, and he can make a bold bid to follow up under a penalty. 

2.30 #3 GOLDEN HIND finished 4th last start when resuming and has a lot of early speed, 

has improved with blinkers and could have more to offer and on form looks best with a race fitness on his side.

3.00 #4 LESREL has bolted up in both of his last starts and he is strongly fancied to complete the hat-trick.

3.30 Smashing contest. #1 RUFFINA and #4 LINCOLN have met each other several times and should give competitive accounts of themselves. The former won her last start under a big weight and looks hard to oppose on these terms even though she has never won a short scurry. #4 LINCOLN fresh from last start impressive victory finished behind her many times but could turn the tables reverting to her optimum distance. But #1 RUFFINA gets my final vote on sheer class factor and DAVID ALLAN in the saddle. 

4.00 After her fluent victory in class 1 handicap at Bangalore, top rated #5 ISN’T SHE LOVELY comes back to race at a classic level and has four wins from six runs since debut. Her performance in a stakes event at Bangalore and Mysore suggests that she should be capable of winning a race of this nature. She will take the power of beating. 

4.30 Fashionably bred #5 WEEHAWKEN ( Excellent Art - Radiate) doesn’t belong in this lower class and warrants a fair amount of respect in this field. 

5.00 Ignore her Pune campaign#6 EBONY has some very decent runs at this course and on the strength of her impressive mock race she can score an overdue win.

Queen Credible runs on demotion with Srinath aboard. Beshiktash reverts to Class 2 in which he has won. Lesrel runs on promotion but may not be able to collar the top-weighted horses. I expect QC to run a bold race and nominate her as an each-way proposition.

Wrong distance!

You all know who I'm talking about. Yes, the wonder filly Ruffina. Her favourite distance is 1200M. She was made to run over 1400M in Pune as a favourite and lost. Now, over 1000M all the pressure will be on her. Lincoln, on the other hand, has advantage of perfect distance for him and pull of 8.5kg from Ruffina. And the bonus is the hard-working jockey Akshay Kumar. Outside draw shouldn't be a problem since he has early speed. He will streak away in the lead and it will be all up to David Allan to chase him down in the long Mumbai straight. Lincoln it is for me 

Race #7

The field is below par and the 3-year olds tend to improve rather quickly. So, expect a surprise. Though the default contender is Isn't She Lovely, I'm not impressed with the likely favourite. My brace to prevail over ISL are Arabia (yes, Akshay Kumar again) and La Rondine (Roche, the leading jockey of this season). 

Race #9

Eiger's Tiger ran a forward race behind Patriots Day and should do well here. Cray Cray should be on the board. But the one I like here is the top-weight Arrecife. Trainer Zadmal Singh has a small string but he is good with fillies. An each-way proposition.
