Castlebridge who had beaten the likes of Rochester, Lincoln, Costa Brava, Perfect Star, Caprisca, Accolade, was made to run by the connections like a dud against a poor set. The connections must be hoping that if Castle Bridge finishes way behind the winner in a couple of Races, the handicapper will take a lenient view and reduce the handicap.
I would request the handicapper to punish them by increasing the handicap by two more kgs and make Castle Bridge to run on 62kgs, till it wins.

Terms race weights allotted as per the terms , for age etc. PL read the terms in the prospectus and in my opinion you are no one to request handicapper.

Castle bridge is a speedy horse and u may no that these kind horses tend to get injured or not respond sometimes like corfe castle and no connections will make them run dud all the time may be occasionally if u say so ! Dont be so harsh on the animal

Well said Mr.Godzilla, 2 kg penalty are suspend the horse for 1 year. They are playing with punters money. I wish the handicapper to see this posting and act accordingly.

Castle Bridge matter discussed in detail during his last runs. Actually the horse is in off mode. Still number of persons fancing him whenever he runs. When the horse consistently fails to give his best there is no use of expecting more from him. Better to leave him for sometime till he shows glimpses of his old form.

Atr this point of time it makes no significant difference either way as te colt runs only 'terms' races. His rating is anyway at 125

Why to punish poor animal by wishing that he carries 62 kg untill he win. You mentioned that its plot of owner so WISH that owner get punishment of carring 2kilos all the time till catlbrige wins.LOL

Try to understand 'current' Indian racing.... It is not the same as it was in 20th. century...
! lakh prize money of those days is equal to 20lakhs of today...
gambling has also shifted from 'only' legal avenue ( horse race) to Cricket betting....
In horse racing you can bet only 6 to 8 times in 4 hours ; in cricket - if you have3 money you can bet every 10 or 15 seconds - every ball, etc....
IN 1950's and 1960's on Indian Derby day more than 50 to 60 thousands 'gamblors' used to visit Mumbai race course ...
now you will not find more than 10,000 or 15,000 on a Derby day...because the gamblord have hifted their priority...
