Prefer Local Horses In Premier Events.

By Venu | 10-Dec-2018

I have always advocated favouring local horses to lift the premier events in their respective centres.  Outstation challengers have very little to no chances.  Shivansh. Adjudicate. Tudor Treasure. Realmsofantasy. La Rodine to name a few.  Based on this theory Isn't She Lovely had to lose.  Forget the champions who win everywhere.

Race Day Report

RACE NO.7(37) – THE SPARTAN POKER INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GR.1): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners – 10

At the request of Trainer M.K.Jadhav, IMPROVISSO was examined at 1000 hours on 09/12/2018 and found to be sore by the right hind leg, as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

Jockey Y. S. Srinath (EYES FOR YOU) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. On questioning, Jockey Y. S. Srinath stated that his mount was hanging out and the whip was used as a corrective measures, as such no action has been initiated against the Jockey. However, Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

Jockey Akshay Kumar (ARABIA) reported loss of whip passing the 250 metres. This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2018/19, no action has been initiated.

The Sr.V.O. reported that at the request of the trainer, ISN’T SHE LOVELY was scoped at the Club’s Equine Hospital after the race and found to be EIPH (Gr.III). The filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

The Sr.V.O. reported that TIC TAC IPSY TIPSY showed signs of distress after coming back from the race. The filly also had blood tinged discharge from both the nostrils. After cold water hosing the filly was given First Aid Treatment. On scoping by the Equine Hospital, the filly was found to be EIPH (Gr.III).  The filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

After the race, ISN’T SHE LOVELY and OOMPH were trotted and found to be sound. ISN’T SHE LOVELY had an abrasion at the left hind fetlock and PRINCESS ELIZA had a gum injury.

Of course u r right to some extent

Generally the local horses will have some advantage , however in many cases there is always manipulation in such races because only a few connections have quality horses for classics and there is always an mutual understanding among these owners , in many cases there are partners on these horses. We can easily find this by searching the previous results for so many years. My question is why should we bother about these classics what we are getting from that, let it be for fun sake don't take these races seriously.  Let us concentrate on winning one or two races daily , ad a punter. Pl consider.

You are right. ISL would have won start to finish with David to guide. But that was not to be. They changed the tactics and ISL lost. It was expected. ISL run is questionable. Although, I dont favour Excellent Art progney, in this case, I will stand by the statement on ISL. Star Superior, Ruffina and ISL out of Excellent Art are good horses.

Even in Mumbai straight, David is experienced enough to make a moderate pace and win as exhibited by him on Big Sur in Calcutta carrying same handicap. David has also won Indian Derby in 2017 on Hall of Famer by adopting start to finish tactics. He is a master in knowing the stamina of the horses. Therefore, my statement that ISL cannot stand Mumabi straight earlier, is to make the punters to bet on La Rondine, as I knew this particular Race will take place in a different way, so that the favourite ISL loses. Here I ensured that the punters are not hoodwinked by the connections.

La Rondine is not that great horse to win a Classic in its second run itself. Look at the timing of Golden Hind and La Rondine clocked for a mile on the same day. While Golden Hind won easing up, La was driven out. Ultimately, there is no much significant difference in timings clocked by these two horses, to dispel the arguments putforth herein

I need unbiased views from SC Sharma, Chankya, Pedigree Star Ravi Gowande [who is not appearing in this site oflate] BKD, Raj-original, GG, manish, and other enthusiastic HT`ans.

By this logic, Sir Cecil will lose in 2000G in Mumbai?

It doesn't matter the thing is  if the  horse doesn't have gas in its tank  it will not win and the horses u are mentioning (outstation challengers)were weak and inferior compared to local and what happened in bangalore oomph and still in second set of main events(2000 guineas )the story will be different .

Sir cecil in Bangalore - Champion

Sir cecil in Mysore - Champion

Sir cecil in Mumbai - Going to ba a champion

Ruffina won in Mumbai,Pune,Kolkata and has an ability to win in all centers

Coming to our center..My opinion won ooty derby..won in chennai..won in Hyderabad

Star superior won in Mumbai,Bangalore and in Hyderabad

It depends upon jockey not on centers
