Where is My Opinion, who drifted out in last few metres who could have beaten Star Superior, come on get this horse to Mumbai post Chennai derby and take a chance at Indian Derby/Invitation.

The Champion is finally here it will be a treat to seeSC desicrate the opposition. If he stays intense stylist will run a big race. Star S is not   running in the lucky Poonawalla colors so his chances as as good as isnt she lovely.

Intense Stylist will not come within 5 lengths of sir Cecil. Star superior may run the Grey colt close. The others will barely be able to see their tails. 

Intense stylist and excellent may battle for third spot but more than 5 lengths behind

For all Suraj fans out there. ....it's celebration day....Star Superior will hunt down Sir Cecil at the finish....2 Bangalore based horses at close line at Mahalaxmi....while all western indian horses would be staring at quite a distance.....

The order would be.....STAR SUPERIOR wins by a length over SIR CECIL and these two are followed by EXCELLENT...

If u wanna play place....go only for EXCELLENT.....It would definitely Place

I really don't think its one horse race.... Star superior pace is very good in the straight line than sir Cecil.... It will be close finish and star superior will pip sir Cecil.... As star superior can't compete with sir Cecil in Indian derby for 2400 mtrs.... Last chance of 1600 to beat sir cecil

Of the eight runners in 2000G, the following can be eliminated.

Awesome One: Not enough experience with the horse, the trainer and the jockey.

Bushtops: Has been fancied, but a costly failure so far.

Jetfire: When did he last win, just remind me?

So, that leaves five with a chance. Let's narrow down the field some more.

Excellent: Got a hat-trick, but the best he can hope for here is a place on the board.

Intense Stylist: A gutsy horse. Can fight for a place.

Sacred Roman: The most improved horse in the field. With Roche in the saddle, he will have a bold show on Sunday.

So, the two finalists are Sir Cecil and Star Superior. Most experts, including Major Nargolkar, are making this out to be a match race mainly because of the distance. I believe SC will easily beat SS. The latter had his best shot over a mile in Bangalore when he lost to SC narrowly. SC is simply the best horse in the country. Look at the pluses he has over SS - there is his sire Win Legend and then David Allan is a far better jockey than Suraj Narredu. As I have written before, SC is a horse which you go on backing till he is beaten.

Experts are saying let's try and pick the horse who will finish 3rd. My view is that if Suraj gets the nerves or if the tactics of Rajesh Narredu fall apart (remember Isn't She Lovely?), then the 2nd place is wide open. That's where Sacred Roman (Roche) and Intense Stylist (Trevor) come in. So, how about buying SHP ticket on both these horses? A value bet?
