Bookmakers Arrested In Mumbai, So Club Is Setting Bad Races

By Srinivas | 31-Dec-2018

Dear All,

Please refrain from going to mumbai races until bookmakers are back in the ring. As you all know bookmakers in Mumbai were arrested for tax avasion. Because of this rwitc did not get the stall fees and other expenses that the bookmakers used to pay them. They made a plan to cover those loses. They set the races in such 95% of the races will be worn by rank outsiders and punters will go with empty pocket. See what happened yesterday @ mumbai. Most of the races were won by rank outsiders. The club set these races in such a way all the punters loose (those who play 1st favourites, 2nd favourites, 3rd favourites 4th favourites etc... everybody lost). No payment made for the punters. Club took all the money. Atlast when the punters did not have any money, they are making one favourite to win (eagleinthesky). This is not the right way to make money. In olden days (say 20-25 years back), there used to be only two betting on 1st and 2nd favourites. Price of 1st favourites will be 50 paise to 1-1/2 and 2nd favourites will be 7 or 8 to 1. Rest all will be longer odds. With just two betting, those days bookmakers used to make money and those punters who had guts used to play that 2nd favourite used to make money. Nowadays bookmakers are getting 4-5 horses betting still they are saying loss. This only implies that they are not capable of using their talent to make money. Only when rank outsiders come, they make money.

My dear puntermates, only request to you all. Do not go for mumbai racing until the bookmakers are back.

Respected Admin - Kindly publish this post because it has the welfare of thousands and thousands of punters.

Regards,

Srinivas

@ Ruchi,

You are  right. Dynamic  handicapping will many  times  gives  true  picture  of  runners...

In race  no 106  as  a 3yo,  in her  first  run, with steel  plates she  cuts comparable  time  to a  class III runner! This time  she  was  cleverly  tested  in  a scurry ( race no  34) with Dasrath who  brought  her  from  last position  at  bend - 10  to 12  lengths  behind  the front runner,  moving  in  mid-field and  covered  more than  6,7  lengths  in the  straight.  Given one  more  run (1400m) beyond  her  capacity   she  was placed  in this  race and she  was  lucky to win...

Mr Srinivas was right when he points his fingers against selected quarters for the pathetic condition prevailing in Mahalaxmi today.

What he actually means is that there is no fair racing. People like Manish and Chankaya can't see the truth in the writing?

We know winning or losing of a race doesn't alter the fluctuations of the government or club in any manner. But what the writer here wants to convey is that the club is not interested in the welfare of the punters, who come to the race-course the hard way.

Who else other than the club be held responsible for poor racing in the first place? See what was the condition prevailing in Chennai till a few years ago when the club was under the control of one man, and now notice the huge difference when the administration changed hands? Please try to understand the facts first before pointing your finger against someone who has taken special interest to raise such a valid issue.

Winning and losing has to happen in any game, but if you manipulate things and leave punters in the lurch by making unfancied horses win very frequently, it has to be analysed and remedial measures must be initiated.

Gone are the days when RWITC used to be a safe place for race-goers. Today, as Mr Srinivasn as rightly pointed out, visiting Mahalaxmi is a nightmarish experience for a majority of punters.

Srinivas

As per me, the horses at Mumbai have won on merit. We need such wins. I made good money after a long time. Investment less, returns more.

Srinivas,

Yes.  You are right.  That punters lost.  But I am not sure how can you say club gained.  It is your money.  But other punter has legitimately snatched that from you.  There were only tote betting.  Of course, betting at tote is a nightmare with the present GST slab.

This scenario should continue.  Not only at Mumbai.  Entire country should be bookie mukth.  But I know it is a pipe dream.  Bangalore had for some months functioned without bookie.  But they also yielded to public pressure.

Chanakya knows the basics of betting.  He has played for place pool on Malavika.  And he won!!  I think, it is bookies who should be taught about basics of betting and paying the dividend.  If they give dividends horses likes Malavika which finished 3rd in a 6 horse field,  they will be out on street very soon.

Don't blindy write.

horse racing is just a puzzle game  if a horse hits at longer oods everyone says it's a fluke but I say it's not fluke  everything has some. Hidden behind in it so study thoroughly  the race card book u will come to know everything but sometimes happens in setting two horses in a race for longer oods to win settled by trainer

Please don't get angrry on Mr. Srinivas

He is simple man , does not understand that club profit is same whether odds on fav wins or rank out siders wins. I too want to understand why rank out siders are winning when bookies are not there. I was thinking that when bookies are not there connection will not bet heavy there fore best horse will win most of the time for stake money. Please help me to understand. If owners of the best horse is not in position to Lay Bet in absence of bookies how they are loosing deliberately. There may be hidden horses in few races but not in all the races. No negative comments please. Help me to increased my knowledge.

Do you think when bookies were there punters were winning - select people win, very few - most lose anyway -  Racing is connected with outside bookies inside bookies are secondary -  nexus is outside.

You need to stay away far away from the course, bookies or No Boo....

I pity the way you think.  Your type of thinking, is the reason, losing punters come back to race course, day after day.  People like you know nothing about racing and when you lose daily, you think its a conspiracy of bookies, club, other punters, owner, trainers, jockey etc. etc.  You blame the whole world except your racing knowledge.

first please understand the club policy about betting and determining payouts, then write something useful.

I'VE  NEVER  SEEN A  MORE  IGNORANT  POSTING THAN  THIS ...

Whether  a 1000/1  FLUKE  or  a 20  paisa  favorite  wins  the  club or  the  govt.  will  get  the  SAME  AMOUNT  OF  COMMISSION AND  TAX...

Why  can't  these ignorant  writers  be  taught  the  basics  of  betting?...
